Hope of survival more that a few days, hope of enjoying more time with a young child they love and cherish, hope of watching her reach another birthday. They are aware of the challenges ahead and not naive, by any means. There will be setbacks, for sure, but to give up and not fight for a young life makes them compassionate not naive.
“A few days” This isn’t like have an appendix removed. This child will NEVER have a normal life. I really hope and pray that she will get the year that most children with shaved lungs survive. Again sounds harsh, but sometimes you just have to know when to let go. I have had to reach that place in my life, and forego the transplant. I realize that this is a child that we are talking about, but..........
