Health Care Reform: President Obama went to California last week to declare ObamaCare is working just as planned. If he means it was intended to dramatically hike insurance costs, he´s got that right.
As ObamaCare´s launch date draws closer, a picture is emerging as to how it will affect insurance premiums. And that is increasingly one of sky-high premiums resulting from the law´s market regulations, benefit mandates, taxes and fees.
Late last week, Ohio´s Department of Insurance revealed that, thanks to ObamaCare, the average premium in that state´s individual market will be 88% higher next year...

Whenever a policy is not accomplishing the stated goals when it was being championed, and the champions continue to defend it,
you can bet anything that the stated goals are not the intended goals.
I’m relatively debt free. I think I can survive this. I am going to absolutely love watching the stupid people get totally screwed.
I do no charitable giving since November 2012, except for the USO. Let the government care for them, it’s what they voted for.
I’m guessing more people will be paying penalties than having insurance if those rates are sky high.
I agree, my charitable giving is confined to people I know who have fallen on tough times and to the Wounded Warrior project. I think things will go back to people getting their own healthcare by paying doctors directly and just not having insurance.
Remember the Government Cost Rule of 10: Every government program will cost AT LEAST 10 times as much as originally estimated.
I’m with you, friend...
Remember in his interview with the unions way back when...he said that single-payer healthcare was something that they couldn’t force on us overnight. It would take time for it to happen.
He’s getting his wish, but it will be even faster than he thought it would be by making premiums higher and forcing people into the system.
Something must be done soon to prevent this monstrosity, or it will be an out-of-control Leviathan that will have it’s tentacles in every facet of our lives.
Hey, I told my husband do not strike another check to charity cases around the same time you did. I quit! For the very same reason.
Ohio voted for Obama, correct? Hahahahaha LOL
Pro Obamacare folks will say this is working just like it should. The price hikes are only temporary adjustments as the added benefits come into play. Go back to sleep, all is well.
I suggest anyone who doesn’t already have a doctor to secure one ASAP.
Because I have a feeling that once Obamacare is fully implemented most doctors will stop taking new patients.
Every single store I go to asks for a dollar donation for a charity that they will get tax breaks for their large donation of the customer’s money.
I usually give but am stopping now.
Wounded Warrior project?
Excellent cause but overhead eats most of your donations. May I suggest ‘Fisher House’ instead. Same kind of deal but your donations go a lot further to help the cause.
Charity Navigator is a great source to do your homework.
“I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep my house when this occurs.”
It makes me sad, but there’s little that can be done. The socialist’s dream is not shared prosperity, but shared misery.
Yes and this is by design. Make the "penalty" cheaper than the actual insurance so people are actually encouraged NOT to buy insurance. When the option of private insurance gets so costly (due to unrealistic mandates) that people can't afford it, they'll BEG for single payer.
To paraphrase what President 1984 said in his early 2007 campaign speech, single payer won't happen overnight. It will be a slow process.
Yeah, and like Joe Plugs said about the stimulus In my wildest dreams, I never thought it would work this well,
BS!
