We did indeed get the rose in today - through the yeoman efforts of John-Man:



A good job of work - that azalea was planted in 1978 when the house was built - the ground had not been broken since then before today. He wielded the planting bar with strength and skill!

Just as an aside - that planting bar was my Father's.
