A couple of things. First call records are not the same as listening in on phone calls. Second - phone records are NOT YOUR PROPERTY. They are the property of the phone company.

To think they weren't listening in on phone calls without a valid court order is gullibility on a dangerous level.
I read this earlier in the day. Even if they don’t record WHAT you say, they’re able to implicate you by WHOM you call.
