House Speaker John Boehner today called NSA leaker Edward Snowden a traitor who put Americans at risk by releasing classified information to the media. Hes a traitor, the highest ranking Republican in the House of Representatives said in an extensive interview with ABC News George Stephanopoulos. The disclosure of this information puts Americans ... continued here

Moreover, there’s something extremely interesting about Manning’s leak.
After the leak, he had a couple of very vocal and eager to help sympathizers.
On further digging, these two were running a “security” firm. And they were air force vets. And they had a dod link.
Now, it seems they were on before the leak too. It’s tempting to see the Manning brouhaha as actually done by the administration.
Thanks for providing more proof that garden variety americans are getting the tyrannical police state they so richly deserve. Too bad you sheep are hell bent on taking the rest of us with you.
John Boehner is exactly what is wrong with this country and why the GOP are Whigs.
Class, discuss.
>Probably did not put anyone at risk. Manning did. So did McCain, Jane Fonda, John Kerry and God knows how many more rats.<
You left off the worst of all, our “esteemed” (spit) VP.
We need to clean our own house first. Look at some of the statements on this thread. Pure leftist garbage.
Bonehead is a totally wasteful piece of humanity.
You're painting with a broad stroke. I live in one of the few (very few) conservative counties in NJ
Wrong(ish). But you might be forgiven for thinking so :).
Well, some folks see the Islamic terrorists as being the "true evil" here. Others, like Ron Paul, see our government as being the evil party and that the Islamic terrorists are just defending themselves against the Great Satan.
To me, it's pretty clear - the terrorists are the "true evil" here and our government, our intelligence services and our military are the instruments by which we as Americans protect ourselves from that "true evil."
What “classified information” did he release? Did he just confirm what we’ve known for years which is the NSA searches all call data based on a terrorist list, extracts the call data, identifies who talked with a terrorist and then goes to FISA court and gets permission to get further info on those calls including content. That is how it is supposed to work according to the Patriot Act
Or ... Boehner are you telling us they are doing more than is specified by the Patriot Act? Which is it? If NSA are violating the law then they are performing illegal acts as well aren’t they? If they are simply complying with the Patriot Act then what did he reveal that is classified? Boner - you can’t have it both ways.
“Snowden is a traitor to his country who dumped American secrets with a far left paper in the UK.”
Snowden didn’t dump any secrets. He just confirmed what many had suspected/ now known for years. Nothing that he has revealed so far has hurt the US. Only thing that could possibly hurt security is if the National outrage is so severe as to lead to the dismantling of these programs. And that would be a good thing. Maybe our security apparatus can get back to real investigation, by the book and respecting our constitution, instead of a lot of busy work. Throwing mud on the wall and seeing what sticks is not my idea of effective investigation.
What was there to expose? That the NSA knows absolutely everything about everything we do?
Snowden comprimised nothing and no one, but alerted us all to the danger.
... a laurel and hardy handshake...
Explain to me again, how the NSA monitoring DOMESTIC phone calls made by US Citizens with no connection to Islam is helping to keep me safe from terrorists.
Yep
Is this guy any different from Bradley Manning?
