Bill Cosby: We Should All Be More Like Muslims
http://www.breitbart.com ^ | June 10, 2013 | Breitbart News

This past weekend, Cosby penned an op-ed for The New York Post in which he detailed some of the flaws in modern society. He also suggested we should take a page out of the Koran if we want to have healthier families, less crime and more productive people.

I’m a Christian. But Muslims are misunderstood. Intentionally misunderstood. We should all be more like them. They make sense, especially with their children. There is no other group like the Black Muslims, who put so much effort into teaching children the right things, they don’t smoke, they don’t drink or overindulge in alcohol, they protect their women, they command respect. And what do these other people do?

They complain about them, they criticize them. We’d be a better world if we emulated them. We don’t have to become black Muslims, but we can embrace the things that work.

I think old Bill finally slipped over the line of senility.

Old Bill’s ready to trade freedom for the boot:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/3029785/posts?page=1

In the face of chaos, Muslims chose not liberal institutionalism but Islamic institutionalism. What this means in practice, beyond women with covered faces and more bombs going off on buses, is that the state and its economic monopolies will be in the hands of the devout who will nobly take care of the needs of the people. The practical difference between Islamism and Socialism is that the former is more backward, more tyrannical and more violently disposed toward us. But these are distinctions in degree, not in essence. Both Islamists and Socialists institute tyrannies based on theorists from the last few centuries that recreate a more ancient feudalism in the name of an absolute call for justice.

Should we Bill? Should we?

Should we treat women the same way they do?

Should we have a supra legal system that requires 3 witnesses to a rape for a woman to get justice and failing that she is stoned to death?

Should we actively seek out LGBT’s and stone them to death?

That’s just for starters.

“They complain about them, they criticize them. We’d be a better world if we emulated them.”

Yes, such as stoning our women to death, making sure our 7 YO have their backpack bombs strapped on tight.

His comments show a disconnect with reality. Perhaps Bill should be subjected to some of their justice.

There’s a lot of false Cosby stuff out there; I’ll not comment further.

Yeah I believe you are right. Old Bill is not long for this world and cares little about what he leaves behind now.

Does that mean everybody should stop eating JELL-O?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090727101509AAHzu4l

Q: Is jell-o brand pudding halal?

A: I’m 99% sure it’s no. The jello doesn’t say it’s made w/ plant based gelatin, however I do remember there being a Kosher symbol on some boxes.

The bit about Muslims was one comment by Cosby in a rambling op-ed about African-Americans needing to take action against drugs in their neighborhoods, rather than just sitting on their hands and blaming White people (I think -- like I said, it was rambling and only loosely connected).

Instead of giving him some credit for that, he gets a lot of flak for his comment about Muslims along the way which wasn't the main thrust of the article. Bringing up some culture war between Hollywood and Christians on top of that looked little like piling on to me, since it's not something Cosby is responsible for himself or something he's participated in, so far as I know.

Cosby may be wrong about Muslims (though note he's talking about "Black Muslims" in the US, rather than about Middle Eastern Muslims) and he may have gotten on in years and lost some cognitive abilities, but I can't see all the cheering him on one day and tearing him down the next. Better to keep the man's whole career and life in view and judge all the good and bad as part of the whole.

I'm not saying that relates to you and your comment. I just wanted a chance to vent.

That’s why war is always inevitable. Jefferson knew it 250 years ago. Like it or not it has to happen.

I agree.

Matthew 7
15 ¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
>>>> 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Known by their fruits...anyone truly a follower of Christ would do the works Jesus commanded, and would not praise those following the unfruitful works of darkness.
