Senator Rand Paul, a conservative Republican whose vote is being courted by supporters of a broad U.S. immigration bill, said on Sunday he is open to voting for the measure but wants changes, including tougher border security requirements. Paul, who has hinted at an interest in running for president in 2016, in March backed the concept of a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants that is at the heart of a comprehensive immigration bill under consideration in the U.S. Senate.
But Paul, of Kentucky, has also criticized some elements of the bill, saying it should provide a mechanism for assuring that the U.S. border with Mexico is secure. Paul also wants to see an expansion of visa programs that allow companies to hire workers from abroad.

I knew it was a matter of time.
We don’t even know what is in this Obamacare like bill.
These politicians are making grave decisions for the nation.
He will not stand any chance for higher office as Rubio.
Voters will not forgive these politicians. Common sense politics.
Say it ain’t so, Joe.

Laura Ingraham wants Rand Paul to choose between immigration reform and the middle class folks in Kentucky
They may not forgive, but with a year & a half until the elections, you can be assured they will forget.
One after another after another shows us exactly what type of conservative they really are.
I’ll never understand the attribution of virtue to either Rand, or his father.
This bill would be the end of America as we know it.
PERIOD!
This is the one thing I really disagree with Rand Paul on. I hate to cross him off but I sure wish he would rethink this.
Everyone has their price... apparently Rand’s has been reached.
I’m not!
I agree with both Paul and Rubio that the current situation with the border and immigration is terrible and needs to be fixed.
However, the first thing to completely totally get under control is the border. It needs to be fenced, electronically watched, and patrolled. Along with it all visas and airports need to be monitored.
Only then can there be a discussion of anything else. With jobs and economy being a crisis all over the country I would permit ZERO immigration at this point....not even LEGAL immigration.
I would also require that NO naturalized immigrant citizen be permitted access to welfare, food stamps, etc. until they have worked 20 years within this country.
I’m closed to ever voting for this POS.
We just as well refer to the U. S. as Estados Unidos de Mexico del Norte after a bill is passed.
” Im closed to ever voting for this POS.”
BUMP!!
As in Romney, you’re allowed flip-flops if you change your position at least 6 months prior to the election. Not more than 5 or six though.
I do NOT stand with Rand!
