NSA Whistleblower Revealed: Edward Snowden Donated $500 To Ron Paul’s 2012 Presidential Campaign

Full title: NSA Whistleblower Revealed: Edward Snowden Donated $500 To Ron Paul’s 2012 Presidential Campaign: Does NSA Whistleblower Have Libertarian Leanings?

Campaign contribution records appear to show that Edward Snowden, the confessed National Security Agency whistle-blower who spoke out against government surveillance in the Guardian on Sunday, donated $500 to Ron Paul’s 2012 presidential bid.

Records at CampaignMoney.com show two contributions of $250 each from an Edward Snowden with addresses in Hawaii and Maryland. According to the Guardian’s interview with the 29-year-old whistle-blower, Snowden lived with his family in Maryland before moving to Hawaii.

One of the records lists Snowden’s employer as Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL), which was also referenced in the Guardian interview.

Additionally, a document on the Federal Election Commission website shows a $250 contribution from an Edward Snowden in Waipahu, Hawaii, to the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign Committee Inc.

Paul, the former Texas congressman, is a leading libertarian voice and a staunch critic of both President Barack Obama and so-called big government. He ran as a Republican in 2012, but lost the party nomination to Mitt Romney.

In his interview with the Guardian, Snowden said he expects to be strung up on espionage charges, given the Obama administration’s history of prosecuting whistle-blowers. He said he has been holed up in a hotel room in Hong Kong.

Snowden’s coming forward has resulted in an outpouring of support on social media, where Facebook and Twitter users are heralding him as a 21st century hero. According to Trevor Trimm, executive director of the Freedom of the Press Foundation, the famed Pentagon Papers whistle-blower Daniel Ellsberg called Snowden the hero for whom he’s been waiting 40 years.

It is no one’s business whether this young man is a libertarian. I watched his interview via the Guardian video and became a fan. We are on a race to tyranny in this country and this young man had the conscience to risk everything, perhaps his very life, to warn America and the world about what is taking place. He, obviously, loves his country and is willing to risk it all, in Paul Revere fashion, to save us. He is a hero.

It was odd but not surprising to see Peter King - NY(R) slamming this guy and was incredulous that people would think of him as a hero. The establishment is not even feigning it’s share of evil that it is taking part of behind the scenes.

You can’t make this stuff up,the reason people are so confused is simple, our country has gone so far afield of our founding principles we don’t even know which end is up.
We have surrendered so many of our freedoms, hey why not just give them all up,after all we may all die at the hands of Muslims, or communists or climate change,or cigarettes or coffee or 16 ounce sodas, carp I prefer to act like men who landed at Normandy,or who loads on b-17 bombers mission after mission knowing their odds growing for death after each one for what? For what we give up without a whimper, for a bunch of lousy sleazy lying feckless politicians.
This guy Snowden according to himself was living in paradise, making a ton of money,(200,000),and pretty much ended his life now,In light of this corrupt government I am at least going to listen to him since he did donate to Ron Paul and did not vote for the TRAITOR in the White House, even though he did not with all his computer expertise figure out OBAMA was a lying sack, and believed his promises. There is a lot more about this story out there in public already, check out Senators Wyden and Udalls work for months on this, the FISA court has made a ruling on a secret government survelliance program, ruling in fact it is unconstitutional but not making the ruling public,Eelectronic Freedom Foundation has filed a freedom of information request to the Justice dept. For the ruling and Holder is refusing to release release it,telling them to go to the FISA court, the court told them to go to the Justice dept.
I think this spying ring was abused by both Obama and Holder. Check that info out for yourself

You need to do more homework, check out the work of Senators Wyden and Udall ,both on the Senate’s intelligence committee, for the past several months.
Why is Holder refusing to release a judgement from the FISA court which ruled a secret government survelliance program was unconstitutional? The organization Electronic Freedom Foundation was informed of this by Wyden and Udall and they proceeded to file a freedom of information request and Holder refuses to release it.This whole event was instigated because a agent entered a wrong digit in a phone number while looking at
this gathered intelligence thereby exposing a large dump of information on innocent Americans, Holder informed the FISA court and they were outraged and Holder assured them he had taken comprehensive action to prevent this.
Maybe you believe that lying bastards,I don’t,I am willing to listen to a guy who was living in Hawaii making 200 thousand dollars and pretty much gives up his life to expose this.

You need to do more homework

This guy should have done his homework -- then he wouldn't have been a highschool dropout with a GED.

NSA does not hire highschool dropouts. And he wants us to believe that after only 3 months on the job with the NSA this highschool dropout with a GED was given unprecedented access to information.

Don't pee on my leg and tell me its ice cream.
