(Hussein's) Sequestration Continues to Harm Blacks
Atlanta Daily World ^ | 6/08/13 | Freddie Allen

**SNIP**

According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, sequestration will slash $2 billion from housing assistance and community development programs funded through the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Blacks received 43 percent of housing vouchers to supplement housing costs. Whites received 36 percent of housing vouchers. Without the vouchers, these families would see those costs skyrocket. Other families will lose counseling services that help distressed homeowners navigate foreclosure proceedings.

**SNIP**

“Due to sequestration, 337,000 victims of domestic violence, child sexual abuse, adult sexual assault, and other crimes will lose critical support and services they receive through the Crime Victims Fund to help them recover from the heinous crimes committed against them,” wrote Eric Stegman, the manager of the Half in Ten initiative at the Center of American Progress, a non-partisan education and research group.

Of course, the sequester was Obama’s idea in the first place, but we’re not allowed to say that. Instead, we are supposed to blame the GOP.

Why does Obama constantly look for someone to blame for problems?

The natives WILL be restless if their section 8 housing funds are cut.

Blacks received 43% of housing vouchers.

That's astounding, considering that blacks are less than 15% of the population.

Here's the answer. Abolish housing vouchers. (and food stamps) Send home invaders taking lower-paying, low skill jobs. Put tariffs on imported goods that can be made without skilled labor. Open those abandoned factories in impoverished neighborhoods to produce those low-skill goods. Want a housing voucher (or food stamps for that matter)? Show up for work.

“Put tariffs on imported goods that can be made without skilled labor. “

I’m not passing on whether this is a good or bad idea; just bringing up why the US can’t do it. The US is a signatory to numerous trade treaties. If we put a tariff on anything we get taken to an international court. If we lose the case (and I think we always do) then our trading partners get to retaliate. When Bush needed votes in Pennsylvania he put a tariff on steel (which, incidentally, doubled the cost.) We lost the court case. The retaliation was swift and amazingly effective. Cheese from Wisconsin, Oil, finished products, electronics...just about everything and mostly in counties that Bush also needed. Bush rescinded the steel tariff. We have ceded out sovereignty to global treaties. This tends to limit the sort of remedies you’re suggesting as they must all be evaluated in a larger context.

This, by the way, is why the UN’s small arms treaty is incredibly dangerous. Imagine a gun from Joe’s gun shop is used in a crime in Sweden. We go to court. We lose. The world gets to shut down our exports until all gun shops, gun shows, and private sales are banned. I’ve seen nothing on the enforcement mechanism, but there will be one and liberals will love it. (It’s not us. It’s the entire world.)

Well then, I guess those folks shouldn’t have voted for Obama.

“Other families will lose counseling services that help distressed homeowners navigate foreclosure proceedings”

Translation: will lose counseling from government officials that inform how to apply for more government handouts.

It's not us. It's the entire world.

Which is what's wrong with globalism. A nation can be strong and prosperous if it is self-sufficient and writes laws that keep it that way. There used to be a nation like that. It was the USA.

Blacks have supported him in great numbers, only to be betrayed—Even David Duke would have been a better president to Black Americans (he would have bent over backwards to do stuff to prove he’s not a racist) than Obama—He has hurt black Americans with fewer jobs and higher crime.
