And so begins our annual 8th TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot. We are having a great time!
The Mom and crew are busy with family who stopped into town to attend the shoot and visit, so she asked me to get the thread started.
Look for comments and pictures over the next several days!
With finger-sandwiches, organic arugula, wine spritzers....
I could not be more glad that you did not attend.
There was no room for Debbie Downer at a fun event.
Great weekend Brother!
Hell to the Yeah!
Thanks for live thread laurenmarlowe and the pix! Good pic from gunner n thackney. Thanks. Ihave a feeling more will be coming. Looks like you all had a nice time overall! Gunner your cat is like my pup Toby. Will always find a way to escape and gives me a lot of challenges. Should have been named Harry (Houdini)
It wasn’t so bad at the Alamo. I was uncomfortable about the mozzies
there, but most folks were nice.
There are a lot of docents around, and they chatter away with their
memorized spiel about each room. It is quite interesting to hear the
history of the rooms, for example, from barracks to chapel to ammo
storage to tourist attraction, all delivered at lightning speed.
The grounds are beautiful as well. They’re under grass restoration
right now to fill in the bare spots. The greenery is in great shape,
and sitting by the walkways for a few minutes is quite pleasant.
The River Walk was really nice as well. On the way, nothing was
open, but on the way back things were opening up and getting busy.
We saw three clutches of ducklings on the river.
They’re incredibly cute.
BTTT
Oh HELL yes!
I was hoping there was a pic of me & that sweet little piece.
Exactly! Thanks.
Our pictures are being held hostage in Bryan’s camera until we get home to the computer that has the photo-uploading software and interface.
This laptop is interface deprived at the moment.
Me too!
Thank you, smokingfrog.
Oooh! The Henry Mare’s Leg. Many thanks!
From last year..
Thanks for lettin’ me shoot your baby!
I remember that sign, from the restaurant that almost gave away our seats. It’s the one that had the “Free Beer Tomorrow” sign, too.

Those little halal, vegan, kosher bacon-wrapped smokies were actually quite a big hit.
When JimRob pronounces them delicious, you had a big success with the hors d’oeuvres there, Gunner.
Sorry that they were so wildly popular that there was only one left for you, and with only a half-portion of bacon still on it, too. Really sorry.
