It wasn’t so bad at the Alamo. I was uncomfortable about the mozzies
there, but most folks were nice.

There are a lot of docents around, and they chatter away with their
memorized spiel about each room. It is quite interesting to hear the
history of the rooms, for example, from barracks to chapel to ammo
storage to tourist attraction, all delivered at lightning speed.

The grounds are beautiful as well. They’re under grass restoration
right now to fill in the bare spots. The greenery is in great shape,
and sitting by the walkways for a few minutes is quite pleasant.

The River Walk was really nice as well. On the way, nothing was
open, but on the way back things were opening up and getting busy.
We saw three clutches of ducklings on the river.

They’re incredibly cute.
