And so begins our annual 8th TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot. We are having a great time!
The Mom and crew are busy with family who stopped into town to attend the shoot and visit, so she asked me to get the thread started.
Look for comments and pictures over the next several days!
Sorry...Really I am.
Please remove my posts. Even though the storm is coming doesn't mean I should dump extra rain on everyone.
Still envious :)
Sure missed seeing you there, bro.
Aw Sweetie, I missed you too.
In seventeen months, there will be another shoot, and we shall meet again. [smiles]
Nuff said.
Glad you at least got a look at the pretty little beast.
[tempts] If you come to the next shoot, you can fire it, if you want.
Lots of people want to meet you and watch the fireworks when you meet humblegunner.
BUT, you may find that you and Gunner have more in common than you might think.
Two unneeded and luxury purchases planned this year:
1) .308 of a flavor yet to be determined completely.
2) Henry Mares Leg of a caliber yet to be determined completely.
As to the second part, see post 125, LOL!
You were missed my friend.
We did. Came up 281 after all, we had to stop at grandmas house.
We’ve been home about an hour.
I’m already looking forward to the next one, too! :)
Y’all have a safe trip home!
Yep! You and Gunner, each stubborn as ten mules.
You have a lot in common.
It was lovely to see you, dear sweet Lovey!
We’re working on getting home safely.
We had a great dinner this evening at Texas de Brazil Churrascaria. They serve a salad buffet, and then servers come around with meat on a spit, which they serve with huge knives, beef, chicken, pork, with many variations in seasoning of each meat. We got stuffed. That was the tastiest dinner I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time.
If you have a Texas de Brazil anywhere near you, we recommend it.
You are with me in spirit. ;-)
What makes you think we’re oblivious? Do you really think honing our skills at the range is the equivalent of partying on the beach when a storm is coming? I appreciate your concern, really. However, the way you expressed it is somewhat insulting.
This weekend I introduced my son to the kind of people with whom I want him to associate himself. He observed. He listened. He also had fun. On the drive home, we talked about what he saw, heard, and learned from my FRiends. So, I am not oblivious. I am raising a man. That takes hard work. It also requires some fun.
Your apology is accepted. Next time, please consider that what you see in a picture on a thread may not be the whole story and cut your FRiends some slack. We’re on the same team.
Glad everyone is home safe! We arrived home safe and promptly fell asleep on couch...lol.
Already can’t wait til next year!!
Ya get home okay?
Oh no...lol! Our GPS ‘lady’ took us down a crazy road too leaving Wimberley. It was pretty, but probably added an extra 45 minutes to our time because it a was winding, narrow road through the hills.
Was great to see you and your sweet hubby again! Drive safe tomorrow and let us know when you get home safe and sound. Sure wish we all lived closer together!!
God Speed!
I would love to join y’all! But alas I’m tied up with elder-care so trips are out-of-the-picture for now.
Sometimes it is important just to relax and enjoy to company of fellow conservatives without someone dumping extra rain being dumped on the party.
