What always amazes me is hearing comments from people who say that Barack Obama can really "give a good speech." It's clear that they like his style when he has his teleprompter handy or his scripted speech memorized. But a really good speech can be given off-the-cuff, and Obama just can't do it.
Just look at what happened Friday when Obama was supposed to give a speech on Obamacare, but he didn't have a teleprompter, and his speech was not sitting at the podium. Hello! The subject is something he knows well, but he couldn't muster anything except umms and errs.
I think the most annoying is his several references to "People!" as if his servants were letting him down. One would expect a little more class from the president of the United States.
Perhaps he's already feeling the heat from all the scandals that are boiling over. All I can say is that since the New York Times came out and said Barack Obama has lost all credibility, I'm sure there will be a lot more umms and errs coming from his mouth.
His last remark, “folks are sweating back there right now”, reeks of his arrogance.
Of course, anyone who failed their boss like this would be worried. However, a confident and wise boss would let his subordinates off the hook. They have already had their “teachable moment”. This was an ideal time for a gracious leader to crack a self-deprecating joke about “No teleprompter, no notes! What am I to do?”
Alas, Obama is at a loss, even when faced with a minor thing like this. Reagan or Palin or even Bush would have shone in a situation such as this.

My how things have reversed themselves. Now we envy Russia’s tax code and they laugh at our institutionalized incompetence.
If even the New York Times has concluded that Obama has no credibility, how can anyone believe anything he says, including the contents of speeches written by others, and, more importantly, the fact that he has a valid birth certificate proving his eligibility to be President?
As Obama’s lies, crimes against the Constitution, and other frauds continue to be exposed daily, it become increasingly apparent that Obama does not have the documentation necessary to prove he’s a legitimate president; and, as Obama continues to demonstrate that he can’t speak without reading words written by others from a Teleprompter or piece of paper, it also becomes increasingly apparent that he does not have a fully functioning brain.

Kornbluth posited a society where the truly competent were hiding and posing as restroom attendants while trying to direct the idiots who seemed to be in charge.
Of course, today, restroom attendants only survive in a very few upscale/private venues, if at all. The idiots are all on their own.

He’s not just an ‘empty suit’ though. Obama is a neurotic puppet, crammed chock-full with the dreams from his Marxist putative father(s), with one of the suspects writing a paper on the feasibility of taxing the bourgeois at 100%.
All his life he’s had people inflating his ‘self-esteem’ so the last few years have really rattled him:

Obama speaks in an annoying clipped monotone that drives me up the wall. His whole delivery is much like a fourth-grader reading a book report or describing a class trip. “We went to the zoo. I saw all the animals in the zoo. I saw a giraffe. then we went home. The End’’.
She’s a conservative, so she’s “dumb” by default, to the chattering classes, including some ostensibly on our side. They’re scared to death that they’ll be tainted by association (the columnists, etc on the so-called “right”), so they join in the pile-on.
Buckley, I believe, was the last conservative who got due respect for his intelligence. The later ones only get grudging respect if they betray the right, if then.
