Few members of the United States Congress are willing to risk their careers to state the truth to the American people.
In the ten years Ive known him, Iowas Steve King has never shied away from the truth for the sake of political correctness.
Texas Congressman Joe Barton had the courage to call Barack Obamas extortion of $20 billion from oil giant BP after the Gulf oil spill exactly what it was a shakedown.
But few congressional statesmen in our time have emerged to so utterly speak truth to power the truth, as did U.S. Rep. Jim Brindenstine, a courageous Republican from Oklahoma who, in a little more than a minute on the floor of the House, summed up the corruption and lawlessness of the President of the United States.
Here is the text of Rep. Brindenstines remarks:
The presidents Justice Department sold weapons to narco-terrorists south of our border, who killed one of our finest. The presidents State Department lied about Benghazi with false information provided by the White House. The presidents attorney general authorized spying on a Fox News reporter and his family for reporting on a North Korean nuclear test. The presidents Justice Department confiscated phone records of the Associated Press because they reported on a thwarted terrorist attack. The presidents Treasury Department uses the IRS to target political opposition. The presidents Health and Human Services secretary pressures insurance companies she is supposed to regulate to promote Obamacare, which is the same law she uses to force citizens to pay for abortion-inducing drugs against their religious liberties. The presidents dishonesty, incompetence, vengefulness and lack of moral compass lead many to suggest that he is not fit to lead. The only problem is that his vice president is equally unfit and even more embarrassing.

Texas is proud of OKlahoma, the most Republican of all 50 states.
Among other things, they’re afraid of being called racists. What they don’t realize is that they’ll be called racists no matter what they do.
We need more Jim Brindenstine’s. Perhaps one speech of this nature every week from the House or Senate floors. Contrary to the words of the MSM pundits, Americans appreciate brash and honest talk.
Cato the Elder ended all of his speeches in the Roman Senate with “Carthage must be destroyed.”. Perhaps every single opposition speech in both Houses of Congress should end with “DeathCare must be destroyed.”
Classic!
Not so much Republican, though the voting stats show that, as conservative and often does not know it. Just simple, plain spoken traditional values.
The Aggies say, “We don’t lie, cheat or steal or tolerate anyone who does.” If you can live that it pretty much gets the job of living a decent life done. Not all do, that is their choice. Every tub has to sit on its own bottom.
Power corrupts. It is too tempting for most and more tempting without character. The nation elected a compulsive liar and he surrounds himself with people of the same sorry character.
Doing right can be hard but it isn’t complicated. Anything else is a can of worms.
dont get excited. he is brand new
And we need to learn how to spell his name. Bridenstine.
Heard him on talk radio. He may be new, but he is unafraid. An officer and a gentleman.
That would be in latin:”Ceterum censeo, carthago esse delendam!” Literal translation: I furthermore suggest (that) Carthago be destroyed.
The quote I found was the alternate “Cathargo delenda est.”
I had 7 years of latin in high school. “Carthago delenda est” means “Carthago is destroyed”. Cato’s expression has become a saying in educated Europe, and it is referred to by the first two words “ceterum censeo”. With other words, if someone wants to always reiterate a point, it becomes his “ceterum censeo”.
