As we now know, the NSA has been collecting data on millions of domestic and international phone calls for some time now since 2006, according to Dianne Feinstein. Maybe this bothers you; maybe it doesn't. Feinstein insists the program is an essential part of "protecting America"; Congressman Mike Rogers says it has already been "used to stop a terrorist attack in the United States."
But one person who doesn't like the idea of the NSA spying on Americans is Oregon senator Ron Wyden. And at a hearing in March, he asked James Clapper, the director of National Intelligence, a straightforward question: "Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?"
Clapper's answer? "No, sir ... not wittingly.
Clap on...clap off...lying slimeball...he’s Clapper.
He works for Obama, doesn’t he? Case closed.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
The government has admitted that it uses contractors to record every keystroke in the social networks like AOL, Yahoo, and all of FB. Google admits to assisting the government. ISPs like VERIZON have resisted but to no avail and now provide everything they send every day to the government. To use the information from such security surveillance would be irresistable to the party in power and it would be limited to a need-to-know audience, i.e. the ones in power.
FBI surveillance is probably going on against the Senate, House, Supreme Court, defense R&D, university R&D, national labs, state politicians, the press, news broadcasters, and selected employees at places like State, DEA, DHS, the defense dept and military services. Contractors would also be part of this network under the guise of security surveillance for counter-terrorism. To participate, the rule would be total and absolute denial.
And now: The Clap!
Actually, probably not. ODNI gets ignored by both CIA and NSA: it’s mostly an administrative unit, from what I’ve seen and heard. . .
Scumbag government.
I hope NY Magazine publishes more of this so that Dear Leader Obama Jung Il can hear about it.
