Swimming champ?? Not fair...she was using floating devises.
Probably needs a high rise coffin.
Seriously...She made a lot of folks happy on the Bob Hope tours.
To: Borges
Class act from another era.
As a teen, I recall we girls at the pool, thought if you had one of her *swimsuits* you were the *bee's knees.*

*sigh* I remember some of her movies.
I remember thinking “what the heck are they swimming for in the middle of a movie”

Sorry to hear of her death, but she lived a long life and I hope a happy one.
She was a much better swimmer than an actress.

isn’t Lorenzo Lamas her son? btw, was it the movie where they were in the pool and she comes from under the water with sparklers in the grand finale?

My dad always bought me pin up coloring books and of course the cut out doll and clothes.
Finally figured out it was as close as he could get to bringing "playboy" type media into the house. Bless my beloved father!!
To: Borges
Wow! Figured she had past long ago, her and Johnny Weissmuller that other famous swim champ of yesteryear (let’s not forget Buster Crabbe)
RIP

The best film she appeared in was probably 1943’s ‘A Guy Named Joe’ with Spencer Tracy and Irene Dunne. It was remade in 1989 by Steve Spielberg as ‘Always’.

Lorenzo Lamas is her stepson. His mother is Arlene Dahl.

Jambi used to do a killer Esther Williams impersonation.
