Kirk did try to help Holder by saying it was sloppy, and underlings did it... Maybe it was going to be the next shoe to drop, and Kirk was chosen to help Holder...

If Ashcroft or Gonzalez had said such a thing Reid would be having a PC right now. Where are McConnell & Boehner? Why is this not important to them?
