Kirk to Holder: Is DOJ spying on Congress? (& SCOTUS?)

“With all due respect, Senator, I don’t think this is an appropriate setting for me to discuss [this issue],” Holder replied during a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee hearing when Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., asked if the executive branch was conducting surveillance that would give “unique leverage” over lawmakers.

Kirk replied that “the correct answer would be no, we stayed within our lane, and we did not spy on Members of Congress.”

Holder assured Kirk that “there is no intention to do anything of that nature — that is, to spy on Members of Congress or to spy on the Supreme Court.”

The answer was was meant to intimidate and to plant fear. Holder was saying that you, Congress and SCOTUS, are being watched and any information we have on you can be used any way we want.

That seems to be what's happening with every new revelation of what the Obama administration is doing to Americans. They don't have to go after each and every opponent. The fear alone has chilled a lot of donor money, or speech, or whathaveyou. Much more efficient that way.

If “real spooks” are about to leak something, you can bet it won't be something Congress or 1000 press conferences could run interference for.
If I was a conspiracy theorist believer -
I might say it appears that the feds and politicians at all levels expect the “real spooks” to try to ignite a revolution.

Since I am not, I say if the spooks determine it necessary to save the nation, we can forget the word “try” ...

I don’t agree, there are many who are very skilled in getting information out to frame a narrative. If you notice all of these scandals are going to the trust worthiness of this leadership. This is the plan I suspect.

Just my theory based on experience and I could be wrong.

I still say Obama has info on who is a closet gay, who is having affairs. I do think Boehner has a skeleton in his closet...most likely an affair. It would explain why he continues to bend over for Obama.

I don't deal in various political/media induced “theories” or “framing a narrative” type experiences.

I live entirely in the real world.
