I understood this to be cellular only, but I could be mistaken.

Also, keep in mind that domestic land lines are still pretty well protected from warrantless wiretapping. Cellular signals are “interceptible” but cannot be decrypted quickly. If Verizon hands over the keys to their network, the Feds can intercept and decrypt anything they want: calls, texts, browsing habits, etc.

I practice what I call “Mob Safety.” Never use your cell phone to discuss private or sensitive information. You never know who might be listening.
