Speaking at the White House National Conference on Mental Health on Monday, Vice President Joe Biden told a sometimes serious and sometimes jocular story about the two brain surgeries he needed in 1988 to deal with cranial aneurysms.
Biden told the White House audience “they take a saw and they cut your head off” and “they literally had to take the top of my head off.” He also recounted that as he was being wheeled into surgery he asked the neurosurgeon, “What are my chances of getting off this table completely normal?” The surgeon told Biden he had a better chance of living—and that that chance was in the 35 to 50 percent range. …

I read an essay here some time ago (last year, at least) that basically intimated that Biden was the Dem’s VP choice as a deliberate joke on conservatism. That is, he’s a middle-age white guy who represents the past, and that the Dems propped him up as a sort of the “anti-Obama” — like tossing a bone to anyone who might have a problem with voting Obi, but the “inside joke” was on them.
Have no idea who wrote it or when, but if anyone else remembers and can give details that’d be nice.

Which makes almost everyone else in the USA (and the non-islam world) a freaking genius.
This story fails to mention the neurosurgeon forgot to put Biden’s brain back before he sewed him up.
So he doesn’t have as much brain tissue as a normal man—more like that of a women or less...maybe even a monkey.
This was a couple years before the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill hearings, in which Biden played such a vital and excruciatingly humorous role, turning the proceedings whenever he had the chance, into
The Joe Biden Show. Not knowing he’d had brain surgery in ‘88, I’m now confident it did him NO good.
