Gay conversion Reorientation therapy, as it is known, supposedly helps gay confused people overcome same-sex attractions. And the surprising facts for this author would be that it actually works and that often the reorientation occurs with little to no therapy needed.

This stuff seems pretty lightweight and cherry picked (and shall I say, biased). Modern “psychological science” has a great talent for ignoring volumes of the obvious.

Thanks, I think that since you were the one that started posting at me, that I should get the last word, now I can get back to promoting conservative politics and fighting the homosexual agenda, and back to this thread.

I couldnt care less about any homosexual agenda. That's almost what I was saying in that post, except that I was saying that you aren't totally void of any interest in the homosexual agenda, I see you as disliking opposition to it.

Well, it’s more like obeyed the gay away. Prayer is superficial without work.

If people post leftist spew to warn, to post as an example of lefist spew, and discuss its demerits, thats one thing.
To just post it and not do the above, is pushing the propaganda.
Should have added - the OP said s/he didnt care about the homosexual agenda. Then why did s/he post this? And not condment the article as propaganda, just let it stand without comment? I don't think every article about homosexuality is "pushing the homosexual agenda."
Agendas I do "push":
- The survival of my beloved country.
- The truth.

Alright, so you say that these lightweight, cherry picking reports are truth? Like by omitting three little letters, you can make lightning out of the lightning bug?

I don’t think every article about homosexuality is “pushing the homosexual agenda.”
Let’s be specific, shall we?
Do you think THIS article is the truth? Or pushing the lies of the fag agenda?
Which one?
PS - this is not a rhetorical question. Please answer.

Well apparently these slyentists think, for one thing, that it’s bad if one of these counselors got their homosexual patients to be less horny for same sex partners... wasn’t that the intended direction? Some whines that come out of the complete jettisoning of personal responsibility are amazing.

I think it’s more of an opinion piece than it is a scientific dissertation.

Just discussing today (in my “real” life!) that the belief in evolution has paved the way for all manner of evils.
In this case, since humans are just animals, or even worse, just clumps of unconcious meat with electrical impluses making us twitch, then there any concept of “right/wrong/personal responsibility” etc are just stupid antiquated myths.

When I see an article that I think
may be of interest to others, I post it.
I may agree with it.
I may disagree with it.
I may have no opinion at all about it.
Most of my opinions are pretty ordinary anyway, so I don't always feel like stating them (sometimes I do state my opinion, of course).
However, I am interested in the opinions of others.

Yes, I post at other sites too, not just FR. I’m sure I’m not the only one who does this.
I use the EveningStar name at several forums, but I also use other names at other forums. However, I’m not hiding. Everybody knows who I am. I just have several names that I like, that’s all.

OK, fine. Generally the prevalent belief set around here dictates the etiquette of marking headlines like this with some sort of disclaimer like [Barf Alert]. From actually looking at the articles, these are weak reports that, furthermore, concentrate on the weakest “therapies” and then lugubriously report them as flubs. The perversion is a spiritual/emotional condition, and unwinding it can take some time and patience with some people. This is like complaining that a dentist can’t pull off a heart transplant.
