I like that picture from the first one on 9-12. I was there. I remember reading the next day in the Washington Compost where they reported there were about 200,000 to 300,000 folks there. I had asked a Park Ranger and he estimated about 1,200,000 to 1,500,000. It was a nice peaceful day and we all were good stewards of the city by putting our trash and litter in trash cans. The Sunday after the city was spotlessly clean of debris.
Yep. We were a wild bunch. Much unlike the Occupy folks or the folks at Obummer’s first coming in 2009.
I was there as well. It was one of the most uplifting ANYTHING I can remember in my entire life!
I was so happy I went. My sister hummed and hawed about going and decided not to.
After I came back, she attended the next 2 with me.
