We need to start having sit ins, stand ins, we need to surround some buildings and link arms together and sing the traditional songs of patriots, we need to force theuir hands, to make the government show the rest of america that THEY are the bully because they ARE the BULLY.
Outstanding, Grace. I've said the same thing on this forum a number of times. I'm glad to see that others are now seeing the same thing.
Full blown civil disobedience is the last stop before full blown rebellion. As Gandhi and MLK showed us, it's very effective in turning the great wheel of society. As you said, no one need die for the cause, but we must do something more than just waving banners and making speeches. We need to impinge.
It's also important to note that there's a window of time that civil disobedience can work. Miss that window, and we're left with but one choice to achieve the aims of improving our lot. Evil never rests. We must act while the thin veil of civility remains. If we tarry much longer, the evil that intends to enslave us will have tightened its grip to the point where we have no choice but to wage war to survive.
I’m with you. Mass strikes - one day, NO ONE goes to work; and/or massing in state capitols, massive just walking in the street, hundreds of thousands, all over the place, etc etc.
No violence, no threats, just a huge defeaing roar of “NO MORE!”
or something - at some point, people are going to stand up to this coup. Better now then when they really start using the stores of ammo they bought.
It looks like the peaceful revolt has started with the House hearings. But time as you said is going by fast.
