Smart girl. She didn't sign the contract.

The school administrators are too dim to understand that a contract you did not sign is not enforceable.

Unfortunately, she is going to be awarded a lot of school district money someday.

A contract signed by a minor is also not enforcable. I am sure they will be finding out shortly.

A reasonable penalty is not letting her participate in the ceremony. Anything beyond that is asinine and generally offensive.
