“I’m not here at as a serf or a vassal,” she went on, beginning to choke up. “I’m not begging my lords for mercy. I’m a born-free American woman, wife, mother and citizen.”

Well, that must have pissed the Royals off ... What did they do? Point their thumbs down and then have her removed from their premises?
Unfortunately, nothing short of tar and feathers is going to make an impact on these entrenched princes.

Tom, there are always people who are so dense that they can’t comprehend the furor around them. There just might be someone who will step on this landmine and wonder “wuh huppened?” when the people react.

Our government is like Max Cleland: they drop a live grenade at their own feet and wait to find out what will happen next.

But . . . .

According to Rangel:

Rangel: "We have found a cancer someplace in Cincinnati”

No, Congressman, the "cancer" may have metastasized to Cincinnati and throughout other offices of the IRS and other government agencies, but its origination is in a so-called "progressive" philosophy which asserts that the U. S. Constitution is a "flawed" document, a document which "constrains" the coercive power of government over its citizens, and that, and Administration, by "Executive Order" or other indirect and less traceable means, said Constitution's limits may be evaded, denied, and bypassed in order to "fundamentally change" America and get things done!

This Machiavelli White House

Niccolo Machiavelli is rightly held by most to be he father of modernity. He said, "I depart from the orders of others", meaning that he was going to gvie the world something worse. Machiavelli was a political philosopher and his view of human nature applied to his prescription in his politicl philosophy.

Machiavelli's name became synonymous with duplicity and ruthlessness. He took his intellectual lights from the ancients in philosophy. His most famous influence was Polybius who argued that Rome had defeated Greece because it had the intelligence to usereligion "for the sake of the many", that is, to control the foolish masses. " Since the masses of people are not wise, but instead trivial "full of unreasoned passion, irrational desire, and violent spirit," the Roman elite realized that the only way to control themwas by 'invisible terrors".

Machiavelli wrote his book The Prince advised, "A Prince, if he is to be an effective ruler, must learn the art of duplicity, presenting a moral and religious exterior, but, in regard to his true beliefs and actions, must do whatever is necessary for him to conquer and maintain power, once they are his. He must not shy away from doing actions and contrary to accepted morality for "it is necessary to a prince, if he wants to maintain himself, to learn .....not to be good, and to use this and not use it according to necessity." Rather than refraining from actions out of fear of being caught, an effective prince must "know well how....to be a great pretender and dissembler." And so it is NOT necessary for a prince to have the qualities of being merciful, faithful, humane, honest, and religious, but it is indeed necessary to APPEAR to have them.

He counceled duplicity was a political necessity.

I will stop here, except to say.....

Think Obama.

Think the democrats,

Think how our government is run.

There is nothing new under the sun.

““We peacefully assemble. We petition our government. We exercise the right to free speech. And we don’t understand why the government tried to stop us.”

The “government” feels threatened when law-abiding citizens claim to be free. A government of the government, by the government, for the government will do anything it can to thwart individual freedom. Obama did not start us down this road, but ObamaCare pushed the social contract over the cliff and the Tea Party was willing to say it. Either Obama goes or we are a subject people.

Exquisite, in the spirit of Thomas Paine.
