The Euroskeptic Europe of Freedom and Democracy group in the European Parliament has expelled Mario Borghezio, an Italian from the Lega Nord, for racist comments he made about Italys center-left minister for integration, Congolese-born Cecile Kyenge.
Nigel Farage, a UK MEP who is the groups co-chair, said that he had threatened to take UKIP out of the group unless it expelled Borghezio.
Farage described Borghezio's comments as repugnant.

Italian-language sites quote the phrase “Una scelta del cazzo”, which is far more coarse.
Coarse indeed (if I can trust Google Translator). I’d like to see an English translation of his complete remarks, but my brief search yesterday failed to uncover one.
