One shouldn’t speak ill of the dead but..... Lautenberg was a dinosaur lib on his second tour of the Senate. To call him somnambulent would be giving him too much energy. Of course the brain-dead and real dead voters in NJ saw fit to send him back to the Senate. Now let’s see whom Christie appoints as a fill-in till next year’s election.

I hope Christie appoints a real conservative.....wait. This is New Jersey. We'll get a RINO or worse.

Big decision for The Chrispy man. My expectations are not high.

Following advice I once heard that one should only say good things about the dead ... "Lautenberg's dead ... Good!".

“One shouldn’t speak ill of the dead but”

Why speak good of the dead when there was noting good in them? We would be better off if liberals like him were never born.

Actually, I think he was on his fifth tour of the Senate. He was New Jersey's US Senator from 1983-2001, and then retired for two years and came back to the US Senate for his last two terms from 2003-2013.
