Rest in peace, Senator. Condolences to your family. You had been on the ballot ever since I turned voting age!
Thanks for the post. This is Christie’s opportunity to shine or fail. We want a conservative - even if it is NJ!
Who will Crispy Creme appoint? A Muslim Brotherhood stooge? A gay Black Democrat? Think Im nuts? Well, those were his last two appointments to the NJ Supreme Court!

His folks are beating the bushes in Trenton and Princeton in an attempt to find a gay, black, democrat member of the Muslim Brotherhood—preferably one with recent IRS experience targeting conservatives.
My congressman. That would be the greatest appointment Christie could make, but since it would cause the press to stop pretending to like him, Christie will never do it.
It'll be Kean or Whitman if Chritie's just a minor suck ass. If he appoints Cory Booker, I hope he saves his blue mumu with Obama's DNA on it.

Does anyone think Christie will appoint a Democrat in deference to the party of Frankie Pushing-up-Daisies Lautenberg? I’ll bet he does.
Me too, nah, ESAD, oh he's already dead...good.
Congressman Scott Garrett of NJ is one of the most solid conservatives in congress.
The return of Christie Whitman?

Oh puhleezzz NO. Gag me with a spoon.
I don’t vote for people that appoint democrats to open senate seats.
Oh sure...I agree.
All together now ... "Senator Bruce Springsteen".
It’s no need to be angry at Lautenberg; reserve your fire for the people of NJ, his uninformed long-time enablers.
wonder why he didn’t take the shot?
my medicare bugged me and bugged me till I got it
One Question....have you ever seen a Democrat Governor appoint a Republican or conservatiive when a Pubbie passes on? Answer...never!!! we got a chance to pickup two “R” Senators right now....in NJ and MA. However.....I doubt it!!! Christie will satisfy Obama, not his country!!! I sincerely hope I am dead wrong!!!
The governor makes the appointment; there is no role for the NJ legislature, another poor political entity.
Christie will satisfy himself, THAT will prevent a conservative from being chosen!
“If he does not appoint a reliable Republican, he can kiss his Presidential aspirations good bye.”
That’s not the way he’s going to see it, of course. NJ is only slightly more conservative that Washington State.
Nothing with any grit is going to occupy public office, anywhere, for some period of time.
Good riddance to a pro-baby murdering, commie, gun grabber. No telling how many babies and women were killed because of his progressivism.
And he was dedicated to the end. He never gave it a rest.
I guess he’ll just have to decide which party he’s going to run for president with before he appoints the replacement.
