Former Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Douglas Shulman is under fire from Congress for his agency's targeting of Tea Party and other conservative organizations. Shulman himself is under suspicion for his numerous visits to the White House compared to other administration officials. Additionally, Shulman's wife Susan L. Anderson reportedly works for the Washington D.C. based liberal organization Public Campaign.
In fact, according to Anderson's Twitter feed, she worked on the Obama campaign:
En route to airport after working 3 days 4 OFA, MiL just asks me If I know abt the Chrysler ads :) #Obama2012
Anderson tweeted about spending time with union members during the campaign.
After spending the day in East Dayton w/union folks working 4 Obama, this America's Future GM retirees' ad rings rather false. #Obama2012
The wife of the then Commissioner of the IRS also tweeted about Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's taxes:
Ha! "@IvanTheK: If Romney loses the election, I bet he can file an amended return and claim the deductions he didn't claim.
Reid calls on Romney to reveal his taxes - @TPM: Romney calls on Reid to reveal his source: http://tpm.ly/QBWise
Romney in class by himself - see @SunFoundation charts comparing Romney's tax returns to other presidents. http://bit.ly/LQegqf
Folks go to Caymans to dodge taxes or dive reefs - wanna bet what Mitt was doing there? http://tinyurl.com/7zhlvtp
In this tweet she makes an innocuous reference to her husband, Douglas Shulman.
I have no idea what my husband is saying but all these tax + finance reporters are nodding their heads. #taxday
Anderson took part in a protests as well, according to her Twitter feed. She called on her Twitter followers to protest Karl Rove and his American Cross Roads group as well as a Republican fundraiser in Wisconsin.

OFA = Organizing for Action
In her own words she's WORKING for Obama.
Anderson's group, Public Campaign, describes itself as, "a non-profit, non-partisan
So her husband is using the power of the IRS to harass real non-partisans while his wife is openly working for Obama under the guise of being non-partisan.
“When asked for the reason behind the request that cases be sent to Washington, D.C. the employee responded, He said Washington, D.C. wanted seven. Because at one point I believe I heard they were thinking 10, but it came down to seven. I said okay, seven.”
The employee didn’t appear to bat an eyelash at the request/order. It’s as if this request was like any other - no big deal. One wonders what other kind of requests they get from DC. And what is the norm in all their offices around the country?
God, the incestuous relationships in Washington. McConnell doesn’t want to lose his job because this gives special advantages to his wife who also has a career there.
Was she Harry Reid anonymous source?
You know what you learn with pillow talk.
While being paid by the Not for Profit organization. You can bet she didn’t take time off.
Shulman was confirmed by the Senate in March 2008.
The liklihood is that a Republican or Independent wasn't nominated because the Democrat Senate let it be known they wanted a Democrat in the post.
Doesn't absolve Bush, but he became very compliant with Democrat wishes after the 2006 election. The fight was all gone out of him...
Easter egg roll, huh? With his wife & two kids? Oh, yeah, I believe that!
Do they even have kids? If so what ages? I bet they are grown.
“So her husband is using the power of the IRS to harass real non-partisans while his wife is openly working for Obama under the guise of being non-partisan. “
Yep, that is the way it works in DC. Remember, Media Matters (Soros funded - non profit) started the public war on Fox News. And NAACP - non partisan tax exempt? MoveOn.org - non partisan tax exempt? There are hundreds of them. But, you only hear bitching about conservative groups from MSM & liberal mouthpieces.
Christians who dare to pray for the unborn about to be slaughtered in abortion mills are arrested and prosecuted under RICO, yet what these Democrats are doing is not even pursued.
When will people start to ask why the IRS allowed Democrats to campaign in black churches and collect campaign donations?
Right up there with Alger Hiss as another dedicated public servant. < /sarc >
On The Five Dana Perino addressed the issue of Shulman
being appointed by Bush. I don’t recall exactly what
she said but it was something like the Dems were making
a big stink about not approving anyone that Bush wanted
so since it was that late in his second term he went
along with their choice because the Director of the IRS
is not a political position.
Something to think about....
Shulman signed into the WH somewhere around 157 times.
His wife is named Susan Anderson. What would they find
if they went back to the sign-in books to see if their
names just happened to listed together?
Generally true, but not true in all cases. Some serve set terms such as FBI director and the IRS director. There are others as well which I can't recall off the top of my head.
The FBI director is a ten year appointment. The IRS Comissioner is a five year term.
They are typically sechuled to expire in the midst of presidential terms -- not at the beginning and not at the end.
Institutionalized corruption.
Generally true, but not true in all cases.
I thought those positions still had to submit resignation letters that could be accepted or rejected.
If I'm wrong, then I stand corrected. Thank you.

Washington is a one-industry town. You will catch flack in Los Angeles for being down on Hollywood. You will catch it in Houston for being down on oil.
And groups like the Tea Party that want to scale back the size of government will be hit with major fire from Washington no matter where they are just for being against big and ever expanding government.
The Washington bureaucracy, Rs and Ds, are not happy with people who want to mess with their cozy lifestyles by cutting back on the blood sucking off the rest of the country.
They have it sweet in DC, and they will do whatever they think is necessary to keep it that way. And they have the power to do it.
IIRC, those are the pure Political appointees who don't require congressional approval, like the head of the White House travel office. (remember that)
Those below cabinet level who require some sort of congressional approval serve set terms. The FBI, IRS, and the Federal Reserve Bank are some of those.
