They just can’t resist trying to beat us all into submission.

Bastards.

Liberals are such pie in they sky airheads.

If bad folks know that the good folks will swam them if they pull this stuff, they’ll think twice.

So instead of encouraging the good kids to stand together, they basically give the bad guy a free ticket to ride.

Yes, the kid may or may not get justice later, but what about the sliced kid or dead kid?

The principle and teacher that put this kid down, should be fired.

The wussification of Western Males continues apace...
Hard to be sure what the cause is. In the general sense it's liberalism, pacifism, progressivism, or whatever -ism is the cultural fashion this week.

In the specific sense, my belief is the relentless drumbeat of the pervert subculture.
The GLBT crowd will not retreat; until beaten down unequivocally. Social pressure and limitless legislation notwithstanding.

The incident is being investigated and no one has been charged.

Sooner, rather than later, I know the name and image of the "macho" posturing bully will be available on the web.
And the punishment will be widespread and universal.

The Calgary Board of Education did not respond to a request for comment.

I do hope that board is an elected one, and the good people of Calgary know how to remedy that problem.

Since this is from Canada, although not exactly international, it does make me think that there is universal behavior amongst kids that age. I recall so-called bullies from my early teen years and how they were dealt with. What is different today from the mid-70's when I was an early teen, is that school teachers would let you fix the problem. The result in "fixing the problem" worked out well for the bully and the kid being bullied.

I was an unassuming kid, not a bully, not super popular, but I had plenty of friends in 8th grade. I made good grades and I didn't get into trouble. There was this kid that was about 6 foot tall, a good 8-inches taller than me that decided to make me his target in gym class. He wasn't a jock, and I can't say I was jock either, I was more of an academic, but I fit into the jock set at the time since I played football, wrestled and played baseball. After gym class one day as we were getting dressed in the locker room the tall bully literally snuck me with a upper cut as I was tying my shoe on a bench. I immediately put him into a head lock and start to pound on his face in self defense. This drew everyone in the locker room around including the gym teachers. The gym teachers stood there watching as I decimated this kids face. I recall looking up and saying to a gym teacher, "If I let this guy up, he's going to kill me. Are you going to stop it?" He let me continue to punch this kid's face in until I was too tired to continue. That is when the gym teacher broke things up.

I was sent home for the rest of the day because my pants were covered in blood. The bully was suspended for 10 days. I remember being worried when he came back to school because I would see him the halls and I figured he would come after me the moment he saw me again.

I vividly remember walking down the hall at school the day he came back and seeing him move from the middle the hall to the lockers along the side of the hall to avoid me.

The bottom line, the bully learned a lesson. I gained some confidence and a ton of respect for doing the right thing. The teachers let it happen, because this is how 13 and 14 year boys behave before they become men.

“I asked: ‘In the time it would have taken him to go get a teacher, could that kid’s throat have been slit?’ She said yes, but that’s beside the point. That we ‘don’t condone heroics in this school.’ ”

Me:

” I don’t give a DAMN what you “condone”, my son did the right thing and is not responsible for your utter stupidity!”

The insanity of the modern world is maddening. This school policy is like changing the Marine slogan “Improvise, Adapt and Overcome” to “Observe the problem, then go seek and inform a superior officer (so he can contact his superior) to find out what to do when lives are in danger on the battlefield”.

Common sense has been tossed out the door.

Found a Youtube interview with this kid. Very heartwarming to hear this kind of attitude still exists despite our education system.

we ‘don’t condone heroics in this school.

Actually they do condone heroics. But these days heroics is defined as an elitist Georgetown University coed demanding free contraception, and an NBA basketball player announcing he is homosexual immediately prior to going free-agent when there is a real need for some buzz to ensure a new contract.

Saving someone's life, not so much.

Teachers and judges are of the same mindset. That is a curse on civilized people that societal decisions are made/given to other individuals to set the standards and punishments of others.I do believe that there has to be some form/means of tempering society between good and bad people/actions. However, I don’t like any individual public persons pontificating over others especially when so many themselves are morally corrupt.

School administrator needs to be promptly unemployed in that profession. Permanent ban from ever setting foot on school property should be instituted against the individual as well.

The school is advocating a shabby moral standard, which I, for one, reject.

Idiots.... “go get a teacher” (who btw probably probably knows less about self-defense and crisis mitigation than a 7th grader does) “even if a life is in imminent danger”. So much for teaching kids responsibility! God Bless this kid.

Just proves once again that to be a liberal requires that you put aside all wisdom and knowledge in the service of feel-good politics.

Ms. O’Donnell was politely informed the school did not “condone heroics,” she said. Instead, Briar should have found a teacher to handle the situation

And what would the teacher do? Nothing but file a complaint after the fact. Maybe call the cops.
