This isn’t going anywhere. Nothing’s going to happen.

Same with Benghazi and all the other scandals.

If we’re hoping that this will take down a president, it ain’t gonna happen.

If we’re hoping this will affect the 2014 elections, it ain’t gonna happen.

We an FR live in a very small bubble. We’re a permanent minority. What we think here has no affect on the majority of the population’s voting patterns.

That is true for now but won’t be true forever. Don’t give up. We need to hang in there.

You are probably right about the GOP being idiots and careless about these constitution violating scandals. They all sat on their hands as the radicals openly called for the Tea Party’s civil rights to be violated by the IRS. They have sat around unresponsive even while the DHS smeared their conservative voters as domestic terorists. The GOP Rinos hates conservatives as much as do the Marxists in the other party. We have to nail them all in this if the GOP fails to get some skin off the agencies who did this.

You’re wrong. FreeRepublic has rocked the world more than once ... and it will continue to do so. If you feel totally powerless in the world you might want to take up knitting...

You seem to have the “negative thinking patterns” thingy down to an art form.

Ronald Reagan won two landslides. You are part of the majority. Stop listening to the Tokyo Rose liberals in the media. It's all propaganda.

Maybe you should take another look outside. Perhaps it is indeed not what WE here think, but if you look at "forums" such as comments after MSM online news articles, YouTube vids, etc., sure, the Kool-Aid drinkers (and perhaps even more so the servers) are out in force, trying to do damage control. But they are increasingly being effectively contested and even outnumbered. I think it is the fact that there are several scandals, and the IRS scandal scares almost everybody not totally "taken" by the Kool-Aid. The press is scared by the AP / Fox stories (esp. the AP scandal, I suspect), which alters the tone of some of their stories, at least a little. Plus, as the Administration gets caught in lie after lie (even sometimes by the MSM!), and the reported bouts of "No one knows anything" and incompetence pile up, there is a cumulative effect of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.

Now, do I think Obambi will get tossed out? No, the Constitution makes it pretty hard to depose a President who's determined to stay, and I'm pretty sure The One is much more arrogant, determined, and just flat out unpatriotic than Nixon ever was. For one thing, he's never been banged around in his earlier political career the way Nixon was -- all Baraki has ever really known is political success. If a group of Dem lawmakers go to him to say, "Mr. President, you can no longer govern effectively, please resign for the good of the country", who believes he would do it? However, Conservatives CAN make gains, maybe big ones in 2014, and even failing that, Obama & his brand can be badly damaged. I'd settle for that, as a prelude to 2016.)

One other thing. People forget that the American Revolution was NOT won by a majority of the colonists actively fighting or working against England (then the world's greatest power.) Freepers may be a small group, but we can all do our part. For one thing, support each other here, and spend extra argumentative energy on a few of those other forums, even if they are not quite "neutral". Use well reasoned arguments, read the Inspector General's report if you've not done so already(!), and especially use statements such as the IG's, referring to "unprecedented" actions by the IRS, to drive home your points.
