My only problem with JJ is how fast she dropped out of the race against Hillary for Hillary’s 2nd term in the Senate. In fact, I’m not even sure that JJ actually filed, even though she had promised to do so for mmonths.

There was a little bit of heat focused on her over her husband, and *poof* she decided not to run.

That “little problem” with her husband was that he was a crook who could not keep his pants on as I recall. That’s the “poof!” She did the right thing.

The republican party in New York is almost as despicable as the democrats. The difference is that the repubs are spineless and do not allow anyone to disrupt their little world. Either you do what they tell you, or they destroy you. Frankly, Jeanine is doing great where she is. I just wish we had more people with her balls in elected office here.

Your slip is showing. You don’t even know if JJ filed, but your problem is she dropped out of the race against Hillary?

LOL!

A Republican from Westchester County, Pirro served as a county court judge before serving as the elected District Attorney of Westchester County for 12 years. As a district attorney she gained considerable visibility, especially in cases regarding domestic abuse and crimes against the elderly. She was the first female judge on the Westchester County Court bench. Pirro was the Republican nominee for New York State Attorney General in 2006, losing to Democrat Andrew Cuomo (a fellow Albany Law alumnus). She previously sought the nominations of her party for the offices of New York State Lieutenant Governor and United States Senator and withdrew her name in each case.

Jeanine Ferris married Albert Pirro in 1975. They had a son and daughter together. In 2000, Pirro’s husband was convicted of federal tax evasion and conspiracy, which was seen to possibly hurt her legal and political career prospects. In the midst of her 2006 State Attorney General campaign, Pirro revealed that she was the subject of a federal investigation into whether she illegally taped her husband’s conversations in order to catch him committing adultery. The couple announced they were splitting up in November 2007 and finalized their divorce in 2013.

Only a liberal Democrat, Hillary Clinton could stand by her man after an oval office, under the desk affair and survive....

In last year’s races, Jeanine Pirro, a Republican, initially ran for U.S. Senate against incumbent Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton but abandoned the bid after failing to attract much attention or money in four months. On the first day of that campaign, she was left stumbling for words for 32 seconds when a page of her announcement speech went missing.

As the former Westchester County district attorney turned her attention to the attorney general seat, she repeatedly fielded questions about her husband, a longtime lawyer-lobbyist and GOP fundraiser. He had served a federal prison sentence on tax fraud charges and admitted that while married to her he fathered a child with another woman.

In a New York magazine article that appeared less than a month before the election, Albert Pirro denied having a new affair but said he sought the company of other women because he was not getting enough attention from his wife, who once made People magazine’s Most Beautiful People list.

“You need to have someone tell you that you’re smart or you’re good looking or you made a good business decision,” he told the magazine. “Do I think that I would like to have more attention at home? Yeah, and, you know, if you’re not going to get attention at home, I think you really need to make some decisions about your future.”

He said he believed his wife’s political career had hurt him financially and legally.

Jeanine Pirro told the magazine she had no plans to seek a divorce, insisting she had loved her husband from the day they met. Albert Pirro, however, did not rule out a split.

By February of this year, the pair had put their opulent Harrison, N.Y., and Florida homes up for sale for a total of more than $5 million, according to Internet property listings at the time.
