MEXICO CITY (AP) Eleven young people were brazenly kidnapped in broad daylight from an after-hours bar in Mexico City's Zona Rosa, a normally calm district of offices, restaurants, drinking spots and dance clubs, anguished relatives said Thursday.
The apparent mass abduction purportedly happened sometime between 10 a.m. and noon on Sunday morning just off the Paseo de la Reforma, the city's main boulevard, near the Angel of Independence monument and only about 1½ blocks from the U.S. Embassy.

City prosecutors said they had received 11 missing-person reports, but Garcia said residents of the tough downtown neighborhood of Tepito where the victims live thought as many as 15 or 16 people could have been abducted.
The known missing include six men, most in their 20s, a 16-year-old boy and four young women.

The likely won’t be returned alive, or with their heads attached if it’s Los Zetas.
Reason # 539 not to visit Mexico if you are Caucasian.
Why are the ages of the ‘four young women’ not revealed, or at least estimated?
An oversight or intentional, meant to mask some unpleasant implications of the goings on prior to the abduction?
Bar employees ushered them out of the bar where armed men herded them into already waiting SUV’s. These youth were residents of the town and not tourists.
When are Mexican citizens going to rise up?
I wonder if anyone had a concealed gun....
They weren’t Caucasian. They were residents of the town.
I stepped across the border at Nogalas in 2000 when I was stationed in Huachuca. I had never been to Mexico and thought it would be interesting to check it out.
I didn’t stay long and was glad to get back across the border.
Good question, is corruption so powerful that no one will stand up?
Not some fringe outpost, in Mexico City nonetheless.

The young people, who worked and liked to spend time at the bar, were taken out of the establishment by men dressed in black who identified themselves as police officers, relatives said.
The group may have been taken away by drug cartel members, who often abduct targeted individuals and do not demand ransom, dumping victims’ bodies at some location a few days later, relatives said.
Several of the missing young people had criminal records for involvement in robberies, drug trafficking and arms possession, media reports said. EFE

They don’t have 2A rights in Ol’ Mejico, so the answer is NEVER!
I don’t care if I won a FREE all-expenses paid trip to a Mexican paradise resort, I wouldn’t go. There are plenty of beaches & places to visit in the U.S.

Same here.
I’d rather go to Detroit.
Well they are in a heap of dung!
I think all of the Magnificent Seven are long gone!
Take away the illegals vote and nullify the politicians need to pamper them. You should be a U.S. citizen and be at least 25 to vote IMO. You need to have gone through some rough patches and paid some taxes yourself before you can vote to elect leaders that will decide your fate and how much $$$ comes out of your pockets to pay taxes.
All cultures are equal, right?
1.5 blocks from the U.S. Embassy!
