Sen. Ricardo Lara (D-Bell Gardens) said he was glad the Boy Scouts' national council recently decided to allow openly gay minors to serve as Scouts, but said it was unacceptable that the organization did not also lift its ban on adult leaders who are gay.

Hands up those of you who didn’t see this coming.
Still, if someone were to try to crack down on his proclivities, he'd be the first one going to court demanding his first amendment rights to engage in sex with animals, or whatever.
Does anyone out there other than the folks at FR realize this man is stark raving mad?
people outside of FR are sane?
Churches are next. Mark my words. Their tax exempt status has always been in the cross hairs of our “Christian” leader, Baraq Hussein Obama. Tha man is only Christian according to his own mouth,,certainly not by his actions.
A different issue ~ remember, even crazy people know when others are crazy, but the question is if any of them know the CA legislature is made up of mad men.
says Sen. Ricardo Lara (D-Bell Gardens), as he takes one in the a$$...
BSA cut their own throats by playin nice and trying to appease the queers...
California has a central flaw so profound that until it is fully fixed it means they are out of line with the values of real Americans and should be ineligible as a tourist destination. I am boycotting California from the day this is signed into law until the day they repeal that law.
The Boy Scouts of America should disband all troops in the State and remove themselves from California. The State will be the worse for it; a lot of people will be po’d mightily that the Boy Scouts were forced out, and in the long run the Scouts will be the better for it. Just have Boy Scout troops in Red states. There are plenty of them where you don’t have to bend over and give up your principles to political whims. Sometimes smaller is better. Stop trying to appeal to and appease the unappeasable. Get smaller, get leaner, get meaner, and get going out of the State of CA, land of the loonies.
The curious thing...if you sit and think about this....in the state of California...is that there’s probably only around 50,000 scouts in the entire state. How many gay kids exist who want to join up with the scouts in the state? My humble guess is less than twenty. Once you lay out camping, hiking, and the normal scout stuff....most kids don’t have any interest in scouts.
It bothers me that the media is pretending there are tens of thousands, or even thousands, or even hundreds of gay kids in California on this desire to become a scout. It’s totally bogus.
Let’s punish America’s sons for the sexual deviants! Sexual deviants rule!!!
Why? The BSA is, as of this month, a pro-homosexual organization.
“Why? The BSA is, as of this month, a pro-homosexual organization.”
Because in general it is a wonderful program for boys, and there may be a few homo’s that join the scout troops, but believe me, they will keep it to themselves if they are smart. Now scout leaders, that’s another thing. They will prey on the boys, not instruct them, and should never be allowed to be leaders. I have hope that one day, at least in the red states, the BS’s will reverse themselves and ban at least any overtly gay kids from participation in the scouts. That’s why I say get out of blue states, and only have BS troops in Red states.
Otherwise, some entrepreneurs should start up a new organization for boys and refuse to cater to homosexuals, regardless of any attempt to strong arm them to do so. If all organizations both religious or religiously based continue to fold, our whole country has a problem on its hands, and it’s time for a new civil war, and I’m not joking. Our country and its original way of life must be saved.

Someone else here once suggested starting a Young Boy and Gay Man Camping Club and see how many people want to send their kids.
Beware california... Gabriel watches.

They have "crossed the Rubicon."
Look, let me be clear. I do not propose that there will be an immediate infusion of 11 or 12 year old sodomites raping and pillaging other boys because of that decision.
I do propose that parents with agendas will raise hell about how "homophobic" the BSA is and that they are not sensitive and supportive of young Lance or young Lloyd.
Now that the camel has gotten his nose under the tent, BSA will, probably sooner than later, be required to modify their "Boy Scout Handbook" and troop training materials to accommodate this type of thing.
Let us assume that some poor, young boy who has been abused by his parents into thinking that he is a homosexual (how a 10 or 11 year old can be homosexual is beyond me, but I digress). His parents encourage him to "come out" to his troop. Then "boys will be boys" -- and he will get blasted. Do you not think that there will be a lawsuit? Calls for the BSA to be more "sensitive"? Changes to the curriculum? etc?
I don't care if the troop is in a Blue State or a Red State...it will happen (and, frankly, I can imagine it being engineered to happen specifically in a red state...as it would help the media narrative)
True, this.
Queers: "We are the 3.4%."
How does giving a charity a tax break get paid by all Californians? The logic of liberals is that if you don’t pay a tax then it is equivalent to someone else paying it for you. Becuase all money belongs to the state and the individual never earns or creates wealth. California is going to implode on itself once they run out of other peoples money.
