Last week, a team of FBI agents and Massachusetts police officers questioned Ibragim Todashev, an associate of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings who was killed days after that calamity.
One of the agents left the interview with minor injuries. Mr. Todashev was carted out with, apparently, several bullet holes in his body. We say

I bet this is an issue of incompetence and a coverup of incompetence. The same kind of incompetence that led to the killing of Marine, Jose Guerena, by a SWAT team in AZ.
If the goal was to dispatch the individual, the method wouldn’t have been so obviously reckless.
The problem is policy, guaranteed employment, unions, pensions; the elements of mediocrity.
The citizens should be employing highly skilled individuals that must answer regularly to the compensation they’re receiving. No pensions, no unions, no guaranteed employment. There should be steep consequences for Constitutional violations. It should be a high stakes job with high pay; one that demands and rewards the best.
There are a lot good neighbors, friends, and unknowns under govt/taxpayers employ — many that have been buried with little recognition of their service to the Country and community. I’m not one of them nor defending any personal relationship. Just trying to push the focus where it belongs which is on governance, legislation, unionism, and general apathy by the voters that neglect the patterns of authoritarianism.
Maybe things have changed, but videossuch as those done during OJ's investigationare easily used to distort physical evidence by Criminal Trial lawyers.
My gut reaction to this incident is that this guy must have had some information that would have put Obama or Eric Holder in a bad light.
I used to respect the FBI, but nowadays they appear to be the Gestapo arm of the Obama Administration.
Well, I watch ID channel all the time and suspects are taken to the station, put in an interview room, interviewed, and that interview is filmed.
Most times, the interviewer and the interviewee both leave that room alive.
Seems like a good place to start considering.
I understand what you are saying, however the issue here is lies.
This lie, among other recent lies, has resulted in death.
The FBI can start by firing the agents involved, offering a detailed explanation of exactly what happened to the public and to the father of the man they killed, and opening these agents to prosecution if any crimes were in fact committed.
If this man died as a result of the incompetence of agents, then there is no reason at all that these agents should continue to be employed as such.
I’ve had it up to here with liars, Gene.
It seems there were two Massachusetts State Troopers in on this interrogation, along with the FBI. They were interested in the 2011 killings, not the Marathon bombings. The Staties knew all law enforcement knew about the 2011 case. They must have used their knowledge to trap Todashev into confirming that the Tsarnaevs were responsible, and he was a participant.
Assuming we can believe the FBI, what likely happened is, the Staties were successful in worming out of Todashev information that he participated in the 2011 massacre. So, they drew up a statement for Todashev to sign.
But then Todashev, who'd figured he'd be on his way home as soon as he brushed of the feds, realized he'd just confessed to a crime that could put him away for keeps. And all because the FBI had found a phone call to him a month before the Marathon on Speed Bump's cell phone! Life in American jail! And not even for the jihadi bombings! How very depressing! Thus, when he found himself briefly alone with the FBI agent, he decided to suicide-kill his tormentor. But, fortunately, his well-trained reflexes were not quite up to the task.
The guy knew the FBI was going to shoot him and they shot him!
When the Obama administration insists that terrorists be given immediate Miranda rights and a government paid attorney when brought into custody.
I'm with the FBI on this one.
Who said he admitted anything? If he did then he can rot in hell. But... It’s been my personal experience that cops lie and say anything they want without fear of prosecution.
Some of the press reports say he admitted to the murders.
That is an excellent portrayal of the chechen nature, thanks.
My point is quite simply that the FBI agent did us all a favor...and here is a quote from the above link which says exactly what I meant.
"You can't discuss politics or anything else with terrorists and hostage-takers, but neither can you discuss anything with those who provide political cover for them"
LOL, that was my point.
Right now we don't care what his nationality was, we want to know what happened in that room.
To want to end discussion by telling us that he was Chechen and deserved to die is to end our looking into this event, you are way off track.
We need to know if he was, accidently killed? murdered by the FBI? wrongly killed by FBI incompetence? Killed while attacking an agent? We need to know what our FBI did in that apartment, and why, and why the conflicting reports and the non disclosure.
There should be ZERO confusion what happened during an FBI discussion with a guy in his apartment with city cops and agents both watching.
What actual proof do you have that the man they shot to death was in fact a terrorist or a hostage taker?
If FBI agents shot a suspect to death and then conspired to furnish and then did furnish a falsified report on that shooting, do you think that they should not be held accountable for that crime?
Are you characterizing corruption as doing us a favor?
You feel better now? All the kid had to do was go for the gun and hte officers were justified in shootign that person- IF you can rpove he didn’t go for hte gun- then go for it- until then calm the hell down-
