If you would venture outside CA once in a while, you’d find out that most Democrats in a lot of the country are more conservative than the CalGOP, and the CalDonks are farther left than the old Soviet Duma.

I've ventured out plenty, and it doesn't matter how conservative you think your democrats are - they'll still vote for the Marxists and eventually will support every left-wing nutbag platform there is. But you go ahead and tell yourself whatever you need to to feel warm and snug at night.

You are right, they are liberals for the most part and support the worst national candidates ever, but they are still more conservative than your last two Republican governors.
