Killian referred to a Facebook posting made by Coffee County Commissioner Barry West that showed a picture of a man pointing a double-barreled shotgun at a camera lens with the caption saying, How to Wink at a Muslim.
Killian said he and Moore had discussed the issue.
If a Muslim had posted How to Wink at a Christian, could you imagine what would have happened? he said. We need to educate people about Muslims and their civil rights, and as long as were here, theyre going to be protected.
Killian said Internet postings that violate civil rights are subject to federal jurisdiction.
People in this area are fired up about the "meeting" next week. I've lost count of the number of emails I've received about it. I got an email tonight with this Judicial Watch link and sent the link out to everyone on my list who's fired up already. This should fire them up even more. Many will be there in protest of this meeting. I'd be there, too, but have another meeting scheduled at the same time I have to attend.
That's probably a good thing. With my temper, I'd probably end up in the hoosegow. LOL!
Muslims - including actual terrorists who go on to kill people - publish horrible things about Christians and Jews all the time and that seems to go unnoticed by anybody. The councilman’s post may have been in bad taste, but his constituents can punish him for that, not the DOJ.
Thanks for the background and feelings of people in the local area, you all have a right to be really worked up.
