President Obama may have promised to hold the responsible parties accountable for the Internal Revenue Service targeting of conservative non-profit groups, but one of the agents at the center of the scandal was recently promoted, an IRS source tells The Washington Examiner.
Through 2012, then-Exempt Organization Specialist Stephen Seok signed many of the intimidating letters sent to conservative nonprofits. For example, this January 2012 letter sent to the Richmond Tea Party demanded the date, time and location of all group events, as well as copies of all handouts provided at the events, and the names and credentials of all organizers. Seok also demanded the names of all speakers and the contents of the speeches they made.
According to WXIX-TV/Fox 19 in Cincinnati, Seok is no longer an exempt organization specialist. He has since been promoted to supervisor IRS agent.
Contacted for comment on when and why Seok was promoted, the Cincinnati IRS office had no comment and referred all inquiries to the Washington office. The Washington office, when contacted, also refused comment on Seoks promotion, citing the Privacy Act of 1974.

I thought we were living in a banana republic, but it’s worse. We’re living in an African thugocracy.
Rewarding the criminals...The Chicago way!
No he said that he would persicute the whistle blower in the IRS.
Thugocracy is right!
This reminds me of the Ruby Ridge incident.
The FBI agents who violated the law and regulations were given reprimands. Having a reprimand in your personnel file is usually considered a career killer. Many people who get one, simply resign knowing their career is essentially over.
These two instead each got a promotion a few weeks later. Clearly the reprimands were window dressing.
This sorta reminds me of the Obammunist modus operanda :
ask for information not germain to the issue,
then deflect, divert, deny , delay then some more delay ,
obfiscate , delay , blame it on others ,
then blame it on underlings, then get indignant
and state ..at this point , ..what difference does it make ? .
and then repeat ...
Of course. He was carrying out the wishes of the boss.
If Obama ever leaves the White House , will he issue a full Obama Admin pardon on his way out the door ?
That was too good for Captain Sternn, and it is for this person, too.
Love the IRS?
Then Vote DNC.
Catch - 22
The irony of the IRS invoking a privacy act after violating the privacy of Conservative groups!
Is that why they use the term African-American ?
That pretty much tells the whole story. Well done.
