Tuesday's unrest in Lashio was sparked by a quarrel between two people, named by state media as Aye Aye Win, 24, a Buddhist woman who sold petrol, and Ne Win, a Muslim man aged 48.
MRTV television said Ne Win poured petrol over Aye Aye Win and set her on fire. She was in hospital, it said.
After police detained Ne Win, Buddhists surrounded the police station and demanded he be handed over. When they refused, the crowd went on the rampage, attacking Myoma Mosque near Lashio market, residents said.

I am totally shocked.....why would anyone inflect such violence, against those fine peace-loving 15th century folks.....
When Muslims kill others, there is no mention of their identity, except as “activists” or “militants” or “radicals”, but when anyone dares to strike back, the Muslims are the biggest victums in the history of the world.
I’m hard pressed to see it different than you do. When these folks act out, maybe people should just draw and quarter them, then come back in 24 hours and make sure the job is complete, or complete it.
Too many free rides. Too many people hanging out manipulating the system for decades. Too many still getting salaries after killing a host of people in front of many witnesses.
The U. S. populace, no the world populace has had it with being sensitive about the groups these people are members of.
