Ending the ‘special relationship’
NY Post ^ | 5/29/13 | SETH LIPSKY

Incredible is the word for the news that the Obama administration has warned Britain against betting on American backing if it withdraws from the European Union. In all of President Obama’s leftism, there is little so myopic as this.

Yet that’s the news that broke over the weekend, and on Memorial Day, no less. It’s a day on which we remember the fallen in our wars. It’s hard think of any country that has stood faster with us — and vice versa — than Great Britain.

So if the British people were to decide, democratically, that their best interests lie in independence from the EU — a pseudo-democratic bureaucracy that fosters socialism and economic pain, in the name of uniting the continent — you’d think an American administration would leap at the chance to help. It ought to be a lead pipe cinch.

But a pro-Labor British paper was out with the news Monday that the Obama administration has been quietly warning British officials that if Britain leaves the EU, it will “exclude itself” from favorable American trade and investment agreements. A separate US deal with Britain, the Manchester Guardian reported, would be “very unlikely.”

This threat comes despite the fact that pressure for Britain to pull back from the EU is rising from the grass roots, with a surge in the United Kingdom Independence Party.

So much for America and Britain having a “special relationship.”

The phrase “special relationship” has been in use for more than a century. It connotes the bonds of language and culture — and of shared concepts of liberty — that survived the American Revolution and the War of 1812.

The U.S. has been pushing the idea of the E.U. onto Euro nations for decades, much to my opposition. It’s only now that Zero’s in office that it’s become blatant. We need to push our legislators to get our allies OUT of Brussels.

Obooboo hates the UK. Its not a secret. I think his grandfather was a Mau Mau and got caught and kicked around by the brits so Barry has thing about it.

Well at the very worst we will replace him with a real American in 2016 and get back to supporting our allies again.

Just one more piece of the puzzle, isolate all our usual string allies so we stand alone.

The special relationship between the U.S. and Great Britain involves real historical experiences and common foundational rule of law that transcends the community organizer who disgracefully occupies the Oval Office currently.

And STILL nobody will force the issue of whether or not he's truly eligible to be CIC.

Unconstitutional power grabs, wholesale dismantling of the entire culture, election fraud,...it goes on and on. But even facing the abyss nobody in a position to do so is willing to settle the issue once and for all.

It's easier to cower in fear I guess.

I wish the UK would fire back that they will not recognize the omammy administration until the one can prove he is legitimate to hold the office of president of the US. If countries would refuse to recognize obammy’s illegal administration it would make a bigger impact then just crying about it.

That’s because when the currency struggle becomes a currency war, we will lose.

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that the explosion in wealth and knowledge and all the benefits that flow from them in the last 300 years has been during the period when the UK and US have been the adults in charge.

I think his grandfather was a Mau Mau and got caught and kicked around by the brits so Barry has thing about it.

Obama's beef is that his grandfather wasn't a Mau Mau. He blames the British for his grandfather's not fitting in with the bogus Harvard narrative on Kenya.

White-liberal-guilt projected onto a black ancestor!? Screwed up people like Obama almost make me believe in psycho-analysis.

Obama has been insulting our allies and cozying up to our enemies since he came into office—if not before.

And he hates England worst of all.

A threat from Obama is lie a fart on the wind. It quickly passes with no real lasting effect.

Once upon a time, in an America not so long ago, we stood for freedom and liberty for each individual and justice for all. In God, we trust.

Now, in post-coup Amerika, we are about building the progressives' all powerful, all knowing, all seeing, always remembering Beast. To the antichrist, we submit.

Welcome to the End of Times generation.

Rumor around the current Christian mystic campfire is we are almost out of time. Time to find God and a cave to hide in.

Obama really hates Britain/British. It all goes back to his hatred of “colonialism” in Kenya and how his family personally suffered.

He is such a little man - always thinking of himself, not what is right for America or for Britain or for our unique relationship with Britain.
