Exactly, this is the ill that has perpetuated all these issues. People want to rationalize to keep from having to make a stand, “well in my area...” or “I know some people who are XX and they don’t bother anyone” or “but homo’s are funny”, or “it doesn’t affect us here in ...”. This is why we are where we are.

When does the actual shooting start? It has to be closer than farther at this point.

You've mis-characterized what I said. I also don't appreciate how you've implied that I wouldn't take a stand against homo scout leaders escorting my sons on camping trips. As a volunteer leader I have communicated with local and national BSA leadership to express my strong opposition to gay scouts who will seek to be scout leaders. Are you in a leadership position in scouting? Do you volunteer?

As I said before, I know BSA's leadership will eventually cave and allow homos to be in charge of the post-pubescent boys that many of them seek. That's when most volunteers will leave and pull their kids out of scouting to keep them safe.

But let's not make our enemies 10 feet tall. Gays represent about 3% of the population. A vanishingly small portion of those that consider themselves gay are aged 6 to 18. Further, only a sliver of that would be interested in scouting and interested in proselytizing at the behest of their gay activist parent/guardian. The kids that I volunteer to lead are sponsored by our church, which opposes homosexuality and, frankly, a Cub Scout has little interest in sexuality at any rate.

I am absolutely convinced that this is the beginning of the end of scouting, and yes, I'm pissed off about it. But for now, the bottom line is that, unless you're in a homo-rich environment, your kids are more likely to get hit by a meteorite that get hit on by a fellow camper.
