Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she will not run for re-election in 2014, ending her tenure as the representative from Minnesota's sixth congressional district after four terms.

In a video released on her website early Wednesday , Bachmann says that, in her opinion, if presidents can only serve eight years that length of time is sufficient for her to serve in Congress.

Thanks for the reminder. The day after Mark Levin asked her last year if she was getting any RNC or RCCC help, and she replied, “No,” I got a fundraising call from the RNC.

The jerk assured me she was getting RNC $ for her campaign. I called him the liar he was, a few other expletives, and hung up. Grrr.

Strange things happen in political elections. Bachmann won by about 1.25% out of something over 355,000 votes cast.

Romney won the CD 18 in Florida where he got somewhere around 6,000 more votes than West. West would have won easily if he could have kept the Romney votes.

Bachmann outspent her opponent 7 to 1 in the last election. Exactly how much money does she need?I have a crazy theory that she only barely won re-election because she is not well liked, not because of some nefarious Rove plot.

If the GOP says its going to fund a candidate then they should fund him or her. Maybe I heard wrong but I recall Bachmann didn't outspend her Dem challenger. He had the DNC spending tons while the RNC just watched on the sidelines.
