Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says she will not run for re-election in 2014, ending her tenure as the representative from Minnesota's sixth congressional district after four terms.
In a video released on her website early Wednesday , Bachmann says that, in her opinion, if presidents can only serve eight years that length of time is sufficient for her to serve in Congress.

“She is busy defending ethics charges.”
Which get dropped when she leaves office because she’ll be able to make enough money to fight them. See Palin.

Very classy indeed. I wish, however, that she would not be the one to try to start such a trend with term limits. Why can't it be people like McCain instead?
Hopefully she will change her mind but I respect her decision as much as I wish it was not true.

Michelle was far too effective in her work to expose the slide of the USA into a minority driven nationalist socialist autocracy. She was also one of the few (along with Rep Goehmert and others) with courage to talk about the MB influence in the WH/admin.

Rep. Bachmann understands the problem of Obamanation.
Ponder this old bromide:
When everyone around you are losing their heads and you are not, perhaps it is because you do not understand the problem.
Now revisit, (in thought), the problem awareness of Bachmann and Boehner.
Nobody is more comfortable co-existing with Obamanation than ol Blue Eyes Boehner.
Yup, the sorry, clueless, RINOs in The House have put their trust in laid back Boehner, while Bachmann gets ready to be nominated as Allen Wests Veep in 2016, IMHO.

When she ran for president she attacked Palin and helped Romney win the primary with that Newt-Romney-Newt-Romney garbage and by blocking any criticism of Romney in the debates. She was a disappointment.

I’m at the point where I look at both parties as the same. The GOP actively opposes the Tea Party, which means they oppose me. I am party-less since I am in no way a Libertarian.

No more Bachmann runs for President. Next time she will be helping Bush in the debates just like she did with Romney. Santorum is a loser and can’t be President.
To: SoFloFreeper
I am also sad. BUT I reckon it might have something to do with not being able to raise money AND I attribute that to her promise to challenge Boner for Weepership and then backing down. ALL Bluster and no action is why I stopped sending her money - I WANTED BONER GONE AS WEEPER MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE GOP-e MESS.

Here's my theory:
The GOP establishment offered her all sorts of big promises IF she ran in 2012.
They assumed Sarah would be running, and wanted to use Bachmann against her. Remember how right after Bachmann announced she was running, the Media, heaped praise on her and contrasted her against Sarah as the "smart one."
Remember how Bachmann continually helped Romney in the debates by blocking any criticism against him and attacking his other opponents?
Of course the GOP "geniuses" never intended on fulfilling any of their big promises to Bachmann and once they were done using her, they dumped her like a hot potato.
Ever since then, the GOP has treated her like a Palin Outcast, and done everything they can to denigrate/isolate her. Who knows what went on behind the scenes of her campaign...Ed Rollins did turn out to be a 2012 version of Schmidt/Wallace.
They wanted to get rid of her all along, and I imagine, Sarah, knew all along that Bachmann was being set up by the Bush wing of the Party.

Won’t lose the seat — any other conservative could easily hold it down. Romney carried it by 15 points even as she squeaked by.

(although I expect 14 to be a better GOP year, it still wasnt in the bag for her)
IMHO I am thinking until the GOP grows a spine and seriously goes after the Commie in the WH, the GOP will lose the House and not retake the Senate. Ergo - the end of the GOP in 2014. OBAMA SEES THIS ALSO, hence the push now for ILLEGAL COMPREHENSIVE LEGISLATION. Ask yourself WHY NOW?
Get these naive GOPers to sign on, pass the bill and the very next day Schmukie will join the chorus of illegals claiming they are being discriminated against and run up to SCOTUS to stop the denial of voting rights. SCOTUS agrees and bingo - the RATS have a FED majority for the rest of the sorry Nation's history.
Ask yourself why the GOP should agree with anything that is supported by the head RATS Zero, Schumkie, Turbbin, leaky Leahy.
The Senate measure, S.744, seeks to balance opening the door to U.S. citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants, sought by Democrats, with enough border-security improvements to satisfy Republicans. The measure includes an agreement reached last week between Democrats and Republican Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah on visas for high-skilled foreign workers.
We would like to finish the farm bill next week so we can move on to immigration the week of the 10th, Jentleson said in an e-mail. He said Reid, a Nevada Democrat, would strongly prefer not to wait any longer to begin working on the immigration bill.
My forecast - This will pass the Senate, and then move on to the GUTLES GOP led House for passage.

She said eight years from a specific district. Methinks she is shopping for someplace with a larger than R+7 advantage.

why is it our side...the losing side...stands on "principles" yet the leftist change the rules and the principles as they feel the need?
