A new RTW bill was introduced in Ohio a couple of weeks back too.

It may have been introduced, but there isn’t the kind of lockstep, get-it-done-at-all-cost support that was there with SB5 or with other states’ bills of this nature. When the last memorable/major losses were non-union(NCR) or bailout-related(GM) as well as a non-union manufacturer like Honda thriving without it, a case for RTW is hard to make aside from “catching up with the Smiths and Joneses”.

Ohio has been more middle-of-the-road than Michigan or Wisconsin, and was about par with Indiana. Given that the first attempt in 1958 was disastrous, the path to GOP control has been to steer clear of controversial(yes, thanks mostly to Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland) bills like RTW.
