Perhaps the woman should have had a gun.That's the only solution. At this point, the county government can do nothing more than urge the citizens to obtain weapons and learn how to to use them. For that reason, the county officials will be negligent if they don't do that.

Perhaps the woman should have had a gun. Which would have been cheaper than voting to triple her property taxes, to provide more police protection, not to mention that it would have been much more effective to have a gun.
