Concur. I suspect Putin will withdraw the offer and was just putting on a show for the Syrians.

a course of action that does not involve shooting at each other... Seems to me a win-win situation here from Russia's perspective whether the ship or not. The only change of course might be to ensure payment is up-front. Russia gets money, Israel wipes out the missiles, Syria gets no S-300. The other possibility is Russia finds excuse to not ship S-300's.
