Kathleen Sebelius is in the hot seat amid rising angst over the administrations implementation of ObamaCare.
The Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary is implementing the biggest change to the nations healthcare system in decades, and the stakes couldnt be higher.
ObamaCare will be a top issue for voters, if not the top issue, in the 2014 election. President Obama is aiming to help Democrats retain the Senate and win back the House for his last two years in office. If ObamaCare stumbles badly next year, Republicans could control both chambers of Congress in 2015.
ObamaCare has always been controversial, routinely blasted by the GOP. But now, Sebelius is taking some friendly fire.
A liberal lawmaker who requested anonymity said, She's been terribly defensive, terribly slow to react.
"There have been many conversations among progressives about this. We want a personality that acts to confront any glitches immediately more of a nose-to-the-grindstone manager.
"If there is any more defensiveness as we're implementing, it will be a huge issue in 2014."
Many Democrats, however, came to Sebelius's defense. Others blamed the White House.
"If the president can't sell [the law] to the country, so be it," said a Democratic lawmaker. "She has done a workman-like job. She has moved it forward."

The new Dr Death ?
The only aspect of “healthcare” that Sebelius understands is that she wants to kill every baby in sight.
And that’s why Obama appointed her to the post. George Tiller was no longer available, so he had to settle for Tiller’s best friend and supporter.
Inside EVERY LIBERAL lurks a TYRANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A paramount revelation!!!
(and people have the nerve to say I use too many exclaimation marks)
The problem with Obamacare implementation isn’t Sebulbus, or any other individual. The law itself is massively flawed. Allowing this to be scapegoated on a person’s inability to implement allows the left to perpetrate the idea that is can be implemented to achieve Obama’s stated goals is a defeat. It has to be destroyed...after 2014, one bit at a time. First, we use it as a whole to club the Democrats for one more election cycle, then start attacking one bit at a time. First the IRS’s role, then the insurance requirements that are causing increased costs to people, then the board of decision makers. Then, block grant Medicaid after 2016 and start doing small intricate changes to Medicare...follow Ryan’s plan, one bit at a time.
There’s no way to reverse it entirely based on the results of the 2012 elections. It is going to take good politics and execution to fix this disaster of a medical system.
“It is going to take good politics and execution to fix this disaster of a medical system.”
An honest media would help! I know - dream on...
The low information crowd is in for a nasty surprise....
I hear from one of my wonks they dread teaching their clients about what is in it, and their reaction.
They are not looking forward to the 2013 tax year in the Spring of 2014.
What say you?
It’s hard for someone to be a ‘’nose-to-the-grindstone manager’’ of a healthcare system when her boss forces her to spend half her time shaking down insurance-company executives for campaign contributions and lying to the world about the ‘’benefits’’ of the system.
Now that Obama’s goal — his reelection — has been accomplished and ObamaCare has survived the public’s disapproval and attempts to repeal it, Kathleen Sebelius is now playing another useful-idiot role for Obama and the Democrats — that of scapegoat for the whole sorry ObamaCare enterprise, which even Harry Reid recently called ‘’a train wreck.’’
Kathleen Sebelius’s ‘’hot seat’’ facing Congressional committees is just getting warm.
This is all part of the plan. Have out collapse under it’s own weight, have the people panic and then give them......wait for it.... Single Payer, something they have been shooting for from the beginning
A single payer plan.
The only “Hot seat” that I want Sebelius to sit in is named “Old Sparky”. A purely evil woman.
Hot Seat - 220, 221 what ever it takes.
