To: Revolting cat!
Freddy's 1966 hit 100 Mann und ein Befehl (100 men and one command) was the second record that I purchased ("Louie, Louie" by the Kingsmen was the first). I got it at the Kaufhof department store in Darmstadt, Germany, in July, 1966, and I still have its original cover.

WoW! It couldn’t sound any more German! I read somewhere that Freddy liked South American themes in his songs, which provoked jokes in Germany about him singing for the German post-WWII “refugees” there.
