Black Christian nominee making GOP squirm (Black conservatives not welcome in Virginia?)
WND ^ | May 24, 2013 | Star Parker

Some 25 years ago I changed my life.

A visit inside a church opened my eyes to the destructive life I was living, financed by welfare checks generously provided by American taxpayers.

I got off welfare, went to work, got politically active and became a Republican. I didn’t become a Republican because of what the party looked like. I became a Republican because of what the party stood for.

Individual freedom, traditional values, with a view that government’s role is to protect our freedom at home and abroad.

For the next 25 years I had to suffer indignities from liberals who could not fathom that a black could be a Republican because she actually embraced these values.

But now, we have a strange turn of events.

Liberals no longer feel on the run like they did in the 1980s and ’90s. They are running the show, and they know it. So I hear less from them.

Now the indignities come from inside the party that I embraced 25 years ago.

It was always the Democrats that were about interest-group politics.

Now Republicans have somehow concluded that their party’s woes are because it once stood for something. So the game plan is to morph into the Democrats’ stepsister.

Whereas once Republican buzzwords were family and freedom, now it is inclusion. The marching orders, according to the post-election RNC “autopsy” report, is outreach to blacks, Hispanics, gays, women and Asians. It’s now about what the party looks like, not what it stands for.

Christian conservatives, once the answer, are now the problem.

Which gets to Bishop E.W. Jackson.

Bishop Jackson is an outspoken black Christian conservative with a law degree from Harvard. He also was just selected as the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor of Virginia.

Sounds like some of the GOP are going to make common cause against conservatives against Cuccinelli and Bowling. The Northern Virginia statists will be overjoyed if that happens.

If any republican doesn’t like what this man is saying, they need to rethink their own bias because he’s only outspoken of telling the truth. The truth can be harsh to hear in this so so politically correct world. Look how some in the establishment do not want the average republicans to use the term illegal for illegals immigrants. Kinda like Obama not wanting to say global terrorism or terror in general. They each have a connection; the weak repubs/the weak dems. Why even have 2 parties/with this we see here. What is occurring is cowardly in attacking him. More black babies are being aborted at abortion places than any other race. Why don’t the liberal population begin screaming about those little kids being murdered instead of making others think this candidate is over stepping in his views. Gop, time to stand up or show your own bias.

Could you please clarify your statement: it is confusing.

How is the candidacy of Jackson common cause against conservatives Cuccinelli and Bowling?

He is great. Always enjoy hearing his speeches.

The GOP establishment tools like Bill Bolling (One of McDonnel’s sycophants) dislike him, not because he’s black, but because he’s conservative! He’s a threat to their hegemony, a threat to the class of McLame nobles, the Linseed lemmings.

Tokyo Rove and co. want a more diverse GOP, and seek to achieve it through bribing minorities with the same crap that rats offer, a utopia of zero responsibility. They don’t seek to make it more diverse by bringing the message of conservatism to those on the bottom rungs of our society, who suffer in Democrat-drawn ghettos.

I despise the establishment. They lose touch with the base more and more each cycle, content to keep the status quo of Castles, Bennetts, Dewhursts, and Lugars. They are happy to rake in their millions from gullible donors, while spitting on the voters, the average joes, the small business owners and the God-fearing patriots.

E.W. Jackson has my full support, not only so that these squishy moderate losers get a kick in the face, but so that Virginia will have a Lt. Governor who actually gives a damn about the state and the country, and what we’ll leave behind for the next generation we’re busy robbing.

You bet. It would help if I got the names straight. Cuccinelli and Jackson are the conservatives. Bowling and some of the GOPe look like they are going to work against the ticket and that will be common cause with the Northern Virginia statists.

Hmmm...it's beginning to sound like only certain *types* of black folks are welcome in Virginia, home of some of the wealthiest and most “progressive” of this nation's suburbs.

I'm starting to think that only we can do that as individuals. Personally I'd like to see black conservatives speaking in those democrat strongholds about the success that can be achieved off the plantation.

I watched the new MSNBC video. Unbelievable how stupid, ignorant, or dishonest that group was. There was no one that even offered an opposing view.

The ignorant or dishonest black woman had no clue about the past history of abortion. She pretended to be an expert on the subject but my guess is she’s never even heard of the “negro project.”

No wonder no one watches that network.

Yes, I discerned that from the article.

We have a problem nation-wide as conservatives. Because of the anti-liberty actions of the Democrat-Communist Party activists in government who successfully though illegally quashed us in the last election, the GOPe (who I suspect are Progressive subversives) has moved to strike against conservatives who are perceived as too tiny a minority to prevail* over the D-C Party.

[As you can see I no longer refer to ‘Democrats’.]

The problem is at the local level due to lack of involvement by people most effected. Most of us are too busy just trying to make ends meet and stay out of the attention of authorities just because we’re conservatives opposed to the fascism of BHO2.

Things are getting complicated in our daily lives. It will be a challenge everywhere to get people involved.

I’ve actually been told by the Republican Party in my county, “do not rock the boat”.

*Note: I suspect that some Republicans are being paid by Globalist interests to screw-over conservatives, like Sarah Palin and others.

Stupid, ignorant, and dishonest is no way to go through life... unless one is a MSNBC personality.

I doubt the GOPe is squirming because E.W. Jackson is a Black Conservative.
I think the problem lies in the the fact he is a CONSERVATIVE.
But I could be wrong. The Democrats have said for Republicans were racist for decades. Maybe they are correct. I would never accuse them of being Right.

I am pleased to see Bishop Jackson got the nod. It will a nice change to NOT have to hold my nose while voting for the Republican ticket. As for the mis-informed hereabouts...I used to get theraputic massage for my roached back. An RN came highly recommended, she was also black. When I happened to remark about the shortcomings of then candidate John Effing Kerry, she got very upset, and said “If it wasn’t for Democrats, I wouldn’t have the vote!”
I tried to explain it was BECAUSE of Democrats you couldn’t vote. My words fell on deaf ears...

He was elected as the Virginia Republican Lt Governor nominee on May 18th.

In a state that has gone for Obama the last two elections. I don't hold out a lot of hope for his future in electoral politics.
