Cruz is a genius. He excelled at College. He graduated Cum Laude at Princeton And Magna Cum Laude at Harvard. Unlike some he has his records open to the public. They are provable. When he is in the room, he is almost assuredly the smartest person.

I am sure Cruz sees many people get incredibly angry when he says:
“You do not understand...”
I would estimate Cruz’s IQ is between a fairly lofty 150-168 at this time.
He appears to be able substantially learn and grow over time and rewire itself; something few thought the brain can actually do as an adult.
Cruz will prove to a formidable foe to the burned out crackhead in the Barack Hut now; what did you think he was doing while Ambassador Stevens was being murdered by sub-human savages....

He really is. Such a command of the law, policy and history. His arguments are articulate and compelling.
An aside - C-Span has been on in my house more than ever these last few months. Really since the Rand Paul filibuster. The hearings are enlightening, it lets you see who knows their stuff as opposed to the posturing. And you can’t reduce it to soundbites.
I think Cruz is a modern-day Jefferson. He might not be the brightest guy on economical issues (I will admit that)....but if you got into a debate with of Washington’s political figures...he’d tear them up with no practice necessary.
